Always so helpful! I love their fabric department! So many great choices. I personally love their upholstery scrap pile to use when making handmade journals.
When my sister visits from Florida, she can't wait to go because she finds more fabric themes than she does at her local Joannes to use for her quilts. If you love quilting, this is the place to go.
Their first floor is a delight to walk around with boutique gift items and vintage sewing and ribbon making spools and tools. You can also find gift cards, wrapping paper and gift bags. The back section has a large selection of candy molds and different shaped themed cookie cutters. This is also where you will find Christmas craft supplies year round.
Most obviously, there are rows and rows of beautiful ribbon in all widths, colors themes, holidays and textures. They also make trophies here.
There is also a small craft section that I would say is directed more toward miniatures like train tables or doll houses. They have a small collection of findings and jewelry making tools. Parts for dolls, quilling and macrame. But again this section in comparison to the rest of the store is selectively curated and small. You can also find a nice selection of puzzles including pro sports teams.
Cross Stitch floss, fabric patches and large foam pads for making cushions. Even if you are a tourist passing through, this historic building is worth a walk through.
I also noticed (March 2022) that they have a drop box for the local pet rescue Awsom if you want to...
Read moreBUYER BEWARE!! RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I purchased five rolls of White Wired Grosgrain ribbon, 10 yards. The ribbon is for bows for eucalyptus greenery to be put on the church pews. The ribbon is thin and flimsy and the ends fray. The wire is so fine that it seems there isn’t any wire in it at all. In fact, the wire is only on one side! Really?? I wanted to give zero stars, but it wouldn’t post that. This measly ribbon is not even suitable for tying bows on presents. Terrible product!! When I called to find out about the return policy the woman I talked with was so RUDE. She told me the ribbon is not refundable. She RUDELY asked what product it was and sarcastically replied that’s how the ribbon is made. She offered no apology or offered to help me find another ribbon they carry that might be more suitable. I don’t recommend this product at all. You’re better off to buy ribbon from Joanne’s or Michael’s. I always like to support local and American made products but when a sales person treats me or other customers rudely, I’ll shop elsewhere. Hopefully, the company can find pleasant, customer service people who know how to treat the customers. Off to...
Read moreThe place is very cute and old fashioned. I expected to be greeted with friendly people. The old woman at the register was nice to the people that were there before I was and I smiled and she didn't say hello so I did and she looked at me like I was nuts. I asked her if they had more of some fabric on the shelf and she said whatever we have here is whatever we have with a frown and then I picked another fabric and she acted as if she did not want to help. I was there with my 5yr old and we weren't rude or nasty to her. I asked if she had 2 yards of the fabric I wanted and she had an attitude and said this is a dozen! Like seriously lady if you are prejudice I will proudly take my money elsewhere. I bought the fabric but I will not be back again. I will go to NY and spend my money. Can't imagine how many others are treated like they are not...
