Got excited to see colectivo coffee signs while visiting door county... unfortunately we were utterly disappointed to say the least. One of the worst tasting coffee shops weâve ever been to! We always make it a point to try the local coffee shops everywhere we go. The customer service here was horrible, the drinks were horrible (we ordered 4 drinks in total, two of them tasted like dirt in hot water, one tasted like watered down milk, the last one was âokâ) when we politely asked for two of them to be swapped out for a different drink we received attitude and an attempt in public humiliation giving me a lesson, in front of 6 other customers, on how they use the same standard coffee syrups that âevery single coffee house usesâ instead of simply remaking the drinks we already paid and tipped them for making, the barista decided her time was better spent publicly questioning me on what was wrong, or in her opinion what wasnât wrong with the drinks. Very frustrating situation especially because I was trying to be polite by saying the coffee we ordered just tasted a bit off to us when I should have just stated the obvious that they tasted like dirt. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere! You...
Read moreThe store charges 4% if you use your debit or credit card which I find to be greedy and downright disrespectful to patrons. Really, what a joke and a slap in the face for a society that doesnât carry cash as it once did, these are just avaricious tactics that take away from a place that could be considered a nice place to get a cup of coffee. Oh, and donât even try to use your freedom of speech under the U.S. Constitution as you will be deemed ârudeâ âdisrespectfulâ and someone that âshouldnât visit Kick Coffeeâ or the staff will watch you out the back door like a monkey in the zoo and mock you behind the counter while you are standing there, but they donât think that is rude, in fact the manager thought the contrary and felt that it was okay that the staff did such things and even said that the owners would back her up on the way she handled the situation; if that is the case count me out of ever going back. So that is the poor service you will receive, now the coffee is another thing, it is good and the drinks are made well, but will I sacrifice service for a product I can get other places, that answer is no. Altera coffee is in a lot of places and am happy to give others...
Read moreMy only wish for this place is that they are open longer into the evening for us poor coffee addicted fools passing through! Lovely personalities, really good coffee (I'll plug a Maple Latte here, really good!), and surprisingly great food for a coffee cafe. I really enjoyed my breakfast sandwich and avocado toast (I'm a glutton, I know; was with it). I liked this place so much I walked back the next day for another latte and snack before heading out of town. I'm not sure if they make their own danishes, but that Apple Danish was legitimate top 5...
