Stoped in one late October Sunday morning on our way back to Kenosha from Door County. The place was busy and that was a good sign, we sat at the counter. The counter seating gave you a bird's eye view as to the goings on in the kitchen. Two ladies working well together and putting out solid dishes in a timely manner is what I saw. Has a real hometown greasy spoon feel to it and that's just what I like. Would certainly stop back through if in the area again. Great job!!

I describe these as "Hash Whites.". This happens when the cook starts flipping and chopping them up on the grill. Cooks, put a good amount of butter or oil down, put the potatoes on top and DON'T touch them till you see the edges are browned. Flip once and brown the other side and serve.

French toast with blueberries and bacon was outstanding!

We have supported this local restaurant for years. We live here year-round and over the years have also brought guests to this restaurant. Unfortunately, the restaurant changed hands a while back and concurrently we witnessed a dramatic decline in the quality of service. It was once a happy, friendly place with decent food. We sat at the counter today as the restaurant was very busy. We were completely ignored by two separate waitresses that had to pass by numerous times to pick up food orders. Finally one tossed a couple of menus on the counter. The other one finally came by and asked what we would like to drink. I said both coffee and tried to order the special. She stopped me mid-sentence and said, "DRINKS!". She put the coffee in front of us and said she'd be back for our order. At this point we already had at least twenty minutes invested. We had a couple of sips; noticed her standing around at a distance; and made the wise choice to leave $5 and go. She always has a sour look on her face and a rude attitude. We are...

We miss The Pudgy Seagull. We have been coming to Door County for over 20 years. We walked in today, & for the first time EVER, felt totally unwelcome in a business here. Regardless of the fact that I have no problem with seat yourself signage, we were not even acknowledged or greeted, we were actually ignored. Decided to look around for seating, and chose a nice table in the window until we saw a sign on it saying no kids allowed to sit at that table. We had older kids with us, and it would’ve been nice to enjoy that space for our numbers rather than cramming into a booth, or taking up a bunch of tables. Saw a family of four with two young children squeezed into a small booth that didn’t look comfortable at all. Decided to look around and choose another seat, then spotted more signage at that table saying only checks or cash allowed, which in our opinion, should’ve been on the door. We left. Will...

Not a restaurant for those from out of town.

A restaurant full of local cliques, Chad will take care of them first and make you wait. Food average, Denny's is better !!

Chad was an obnoxious, rude server from the first moment we walked in. We were never made to feel welcomed. Also, Chad knocked over the utensils as we were sitting down. An inauspicious beginning to say the least !!

The last straw is he dropped (intentionally?) a plate of sticky pancakes on my young son. Not once did he comp the meal, nor did he apologize.

Do yourself a favor and go to the local McDonalds and get service with a smile, as well as a play area for your children !!

Not a place for children or out of towners !! P.S, I put the one star only because Google forced me to !! NO STAR...
