The DDA authority breaks lease contracts without giving the owner the right to cure (the right is in the contract but taken away from the owner when the owner is attempting to cure a default) along with forced evictions above and beyond the law. It is a city ordinance to not have signs on the property per the DDA authority, but the day care center in Sugar Hill is clearly allowed to have signs because they are flying them again today. I have no problems with the day care center having signs, but you can't have one business get away with it when other businesses are not allowed to do the same. One of the members of the DDA authority (Nick Thompson) had a battery charge against him back in 2008 as well and may still have it on his record, unless the Mayor Gary Pirkle fixed it for him per the news.
