SUGAR HILL REC CENTER. Stay away. Ran by imbeciles.

Very disappointed in this Rec Center and especially the one's running it. I went in and signed up the very week it opened. I asked a series of Q's and the guy working the front desk never gave me clear answers due to "its new, we just opened, so my manager is still trying to work out the details." I signed up anyway...Im not a SH resident so I paid the yearly fee.

Fast forward the following week, my 10 year old son and I arrive on a Saturday morning to play basketball. Just an hour or so, nothing big. Nope...the court was closed, reserved by a basketball team for practice. I was NEVER notified or told that this could happen - the court being reserved and off limits to walk-ins like me. The manager stepped in and said "yes, anyone can rent out the court and we let you know that. You can check the link to our website/schedule that we sent you." I never recieved a link or email or anything notifying me of anything! One of his employees, who was listening in, asked me for my info, she pulled up my profile and CONFIRMED to us "oh sorry, yeah we didnt send it to you."

Ha!

So all in all.... the guy who signed me up had no clue what he was selling, the manager failed as a manager to get his ducks in line before selling memberships, and they failed to send out emails upon sign ups like they are supposed to.

SH Rec Center allows for people to rent out the court so good luck on trying to play ball when you want to. Be sure to check their "calendar" before you make the drive.

Also, bad service for not offering a solution or any kind of help. Just an "sorry, its closed, try back next time and check the website."
