I would describe this restaurant as your average pizza place but they have terrible customer service. I went out with my friends and ordered a few pizzas, one salad and one side of garlic knots. They took a bit of time but eventually we got the pizza and salad but did not receive the garlic knots. After over an hour we told the employees we would be back to pick up the garlic knots because we understood they were understaffed and a bit busy. We came back and the same employee told us they were still not done with the garlic knots. 25 min later and we came back to find the door locked, I asked the same employee to open the door and he signaled us to shoo away and said to the teenage customers inside to not open the door for us. The teenagers ignored him and they opened the door for my friends and I. Instead of offering a refund or an explanation, the employee asked for my name and number for a free pizza for our next visit. I understand if the restaurant was understaffed and I feel for working employees and try to stay calm in these situations but I have never been locked out of a restaurant without receiving what I plaid for? This whole situation took over a course of 2 hours or so. Ridiculous because this place could be much better and successful with the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI left after waiting 45 minutes for a small pizza, dine in service. They had the balls to ask me for a tip at the register on the screen before making me wait... as if this was reasonable and deserved gratity.
I tried to eat here 3 other times, closed during normal operating hours. Still haven't tried it, have zero desire to now.
This restaurant seems to be suffering from the same problems as all the restaurants in this little apartment block, they seem to be running it with Disney philosophy of restaurant management, as in your guests are trapped in Disney Land and have no other options, you own everything, so everyone gets bad, slow, overpriced food while cramped like cattle. It's an approach that basically assumes the customer is there to serve you... why they got the impression I don't know, something is weird about these apartment restaurants... almost like the apartment complex company owns them and are relying on only that business. It's insaine... just do good food and good service.
So yeah, keep my $14 and wasted 45 minutes... acceptable price to pay to learn who can be trusted with your food and who can't. Never going...

Please let me qualify that: I grew up in New York with an Italian immigrant family (who made pasta by hand), and until now I thought NY had the best pizza. Later as a pilot with 15,000 hours I laid over in too many cities to count, had pizza from everywhere.
Experiences related to eating: If ādiningā in, you order at the counter, pay, get a food number for the table and seat yourself (they have beer/wine to enjoy your SHORT wait). While doing Apple Watch Apple Pay, I was presented with what I falsely thought was a tip(flation) screen before I knew that they served you. Do tip - the servers are fast, efficient and do old school things like being observant - for example, āOh you are splitting this salad, one second let me get you a plate and utensils.ā
Place: Is clean and the ambiance is nice. Take home boxes (if you are strong enough not to gorge every piece of this delicious food) are neatly stacked by soda self serve counter.
Prices: we typically pay $40 for takeout, just one pie around Charlottesville, VA - here you get a pie, beer and a salad for that, and the pie is 100 times better than...
