The Meat Corner — Local services in Sunnyvale

3 employees, none of them wearing masks. Guy at the cash register handed me my change in cash by grabbing it out of the cash register with his bloody and meat-chunky gloved hand. I had to scrape raw meat and blood off my cash once I got in the car. No friendliness, no display or intent for good customer service coming from them. The whole place also smells rotten. I get it— coming from a place that only sells raw meat, but I have been to much cleaner butchers.

This aforementioned experience was my second time coming here. The first time I came here, I ordered a tri-tip online and their website said only come between 4-6pm to allow for time to package online orders. I arrived at 4:30 pm and they seemed confused that I had an online order— after about 5 minutes of them trying to type in my order number into their system, they said that I didn’t order tri-tip, I ordered rib eye. And they sent me off with rib eye. But my emailed confirmation receipt clearly said 2lbs of tri-trip. This time they were not wearing masks either.

Not going back, I’ll go to Los...

I placed an order ( first time) and it was not ready. I ordered it on 5/6 and received an email saying that my order would bd ready the next day, and I would receive an email when my order was ready. 5/8 came snd no email. I went to the store, and my order ( I ordered chicken skin) was never prepared anx teady. The tall guy ignored me for 5 minutes to take a call, and then camd anc offered me a bag of chicken skins that had been sitting in a box. I put the bag in thd fridge until the next day, but ehen I opened it to clean it, the smell was overwhelming! No matter how much I tried to clean the skins, I could not get rid of the smell. Dont buy any meat from there, it looks old...

Traditionally, at New Year's we make Mutton Curry as a tradition in our family back home. This year, COVID and all, we were so homesick, we went to the the Meat Corner get our fresh cut goat meat (mutton) for making it during this Christmas weekend itself. And we will try making Lucknowi Dum Biryani as well (courtesy chef Ranveer Brar and his show on Amazon Prime Video )

We ordered online and went for pickup after 2 hours. While the cleanliness and hygiene may be a tad deficient as the the shop reeked, the meat was cut in front of us and looked fresh.

And they were practicing safety measures in all ways : masks. Gloves and social distancing are being followed...
