The employee working at Nirvanaah! today was extremely rude and inconsiderate. Although I ordered a Kufli drink, it was presented to me in a bowl with a spoon instead of a in a cup like a drink should be. Confused, I requested the Kufli cup be turned into a Kulfi drink, which should be easy to do and its the same price. However the employee working there said "it's already made so if you want it in a drink form, you need to buy another one". At that point my wife tried to switch her original order which was a chocolate Nirvana to the Kulfi cup which was already made so I could then order a Kulfi drink - all of which are the same price of $6.99. When my wife tried to tell the employee before she started scooping the ice cream to stop and cancel the chocolate nirvanaah, she rudely ignored both of us at first, then proceeded to put her hand in the air and saying "wait" as she was taking a personal phone call. Continue to ignore our request to cancel the order, she began scooping the ice cream and was about to put toppings on it, at which point she finally got off the phone and heard me telling her to stop. She then looked at me in a puzzled way, not saying anything. I then told her that "I was trying to tell you to cancel the order before you started". After a few more seconds of staring she was like "ok" in a begrudging way as if we did something wrong. She never once apologized for the mix up, even the customers behind us who clearly saw her ignoring us while on the phone, shook their head in disbelief. This is the third time we have encountered rude staff at this business. We thought the first couple of incidents was simply a language barrier and therefore wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and came back a third time. However after this incident we will definitely take our business elsewhere and not...

Ideally, I'd give this place 3.5/5 stars.

Nirvanaah in Sunnyvale serves up a wide variety of Indian-inspired ice cream flavors, perfect for those seeking an adventurous taste bud experience. Located conveniently in a strip mall with ample parking, it might be a good spot to grab a scoop, but be prepared for a slightly tired ambiance.

The interior is definitely in need of an upgrade. The worn-out seats and overall rundown feel took away from the experience a bit. There is also not a lot of indoor or outdoor seating, so keep that in mind.

The saving grace was the incredibly friendly staff. They were super patient with my friends who weren't familiar with Indian flavors, allowing them to try a multitude of options before making their decisions.

Nirvanaah boasts a unique selection of flavors, including meetha pan (a post-wedding breath freshener in Indian weddings), chickoo (a tropical fruit), and gajar halwa (a carrot-based dessert). You can choose between one, two, or three scoops, allowing you to create your own flavor combinations.

The verdict on the flavors themself is a mixed bag. Some, like meetha pan, guava, and Alfonso mango, were bold and packed a punch. However, others like chickoo and sweet apple were a bit muted and didn't quite deliver on their promise. The butterscotch was particularly disappointing, with an off-putting texture.

They also offer falooda, a playful mix of milkshake, bubble tea, and sundae elements. While it might be worth a try for the novelty factor, it ultimately comes down to personal preference.

Overall, Nirvanaah is a decent option for those seeking unique Indian ice cream flavors. The friendly staff and the sheer variety of options deserve a nod, but the rundown interior and uneven flavor execution hold it back from being...

We had ordered Birthday Cake for my 7 year old (1/2 sheet cake) with a frozen theme. the decoration (piping and the look) was no way near the on we selected form the pictures, however that was the least of the concerns, because it is acceptable that the one on professional sites recreated by others. Our main disappointment is with the flavor, as it involved the children and they are so particular about the limited flavors they like and my child's favorite too, we went in person to the shop, as well called the owner Anu more then couple of times, sent the WhatsApp message as well clearly indicating the two flavor (cookies and cream and Ferrero Rocher) we want. However, they decided to do their own flavor (without even considering the need to let us know) which was mango (it also tasted cinnamon) and don't know what other flavor and none of the children who attended the party ate the ice-cream cake. They were all so excited and waiting for the cake and but could not eat because of the flavor( even we did not like the cake), my daughter had tears in her eyes that she did not get her favorite flavor and she had told all her friends and none of them could eat, as they did not like that flavor and taste. Literally the entire cake went into the dustbin. When I sent a note to Anu, stating the same, least of the curtsey, she did not even acknowledge the mistake for breaking the hearts of so many children and my child on her special day. Such unprofessional bunch of leads handling the store is...

This is a great place to get some real Indian ice-cream. They have flavors that are common in India. Their menu is a bit confusing when it comes to the falooda drink. I'd expect falooda to be topped with ice-cream of your choice but it looked like that is not an option which is disappointing. If you are taking two scoops in one cup it'll be layered one on top of another. If you want it properly placed side by side you can go for their waffle plates instead. Also this place is takeout only currently. This place requires you to wear a mask to enter so please do so. It is really annoying when every one is in a mask and there're a couple of customers that are not obliging to their request. Ambience: Good Process: Get in queue to make your order. Collect your ice cream and pay at the end of the line at the cashiers counter. They do not accept tips via card. Quantity: Generous Parking: Ample Times visited: 1

Update: Second visit: They do not allow tasting. Felt that it's a business standard and they should do it. They were not very good in explaining why, or sharing details of the taste. Ended up taking Mango kulfi, and hoped it was nice. It luckily, was good. First Visit: We reached at 10:30 and asked for flavors. Good things - the flavors are great - the ambience is nice. - like the seatings Complaints - The staff was little of help in suggesting for flavors. - We were having last bit of ice cream as we came 15 mins before closing. They asked us to leave, which felt rude. Waiting 5 mins wouldn't have hurt them. It's about a customer experience
