I've been putting this off in hopes of change. I've been coming to this location for over 10 years and it has been going downhill more and more every year. It use to be my go to once or twice a week, so it pains me to leave this review.
When you dine in the food is great. Service is not great. The 'waitresses' are unwelcoming and always behind the counter on their phones. They will only come to your table to drop off menus, take your order, and if you ordered a beverage it's not coming till your food comes. Yet they expect a tip... They're probably family members who are guaranteed the position so they don't put forth any effort or concern with diners.
The food is good IF you are dining in. If you are getting it delivered be prepared for scraps. Literally. For a bowl of pho they will give you old meat that smells off and is tough, a bowl of broken noodles that are all less than an inch long, old bean sprout. All of this stuff seems to be from the day before. Maybe it's to save money, but they need to stop doing this. They're going to get someone sick one day. The first time this happened I thought it was just a mistake, but no. After about 8 delivery orders I now realize that they serve the freshest stuff to the inhouse diners and give the leftovers to pickup and delivery customers. They've even taken the mint out of the spring rolls.
I really wish they would up their standards again as they have greatly...
Read moreHouse of Pho did not disappoint with jaw dropping food. We got takeout so we were not able to see much of the inside of the restaurant but it seemed cute and spacious. The food was ready fast and it was hot which I appreciate. I started off with the pork and shrimp spring rolls. These were insanely fresh and came with a really tasty dressing. I am not sure what it was but it was a little nutty and sweet and complemented the spring roll perfectly! The spring roll had plenty of meat and had a wonderful texture with fresh lettuce. It was also huge with two large spring rolls it could even be a light dinner. Then we got the bbq chicken and shrimp over rice. There was barely any shrimp however there was loads of chicken as you can see which was so good. It was marinated in an earthy bbq sauce and it was BOMBB. It was a little dry but still so flavorful and went with the sticky rice really well. If you need something to cut through all the fat and carbs they also provided a fresh salad with a vinaigrette dressing. The price wa fair for the large portions if anything the food was a deal. It ended up being 2 quality meals for $25. OVERALL I would definitely recommend House of Pho to others and would ask them to sit inside. Super tasty, affordable, and high...
Read moreMy family and my sister's family used to come here every Friday night. The food is okay but the service is extremely poor. They get really pissed that we walk in around 8:20pm. They rushed you to order within 10 minutes and said their kitchen closed at 8:3O. Their closing time is 9pm. Waitress is rude and she rolled her eyes if you ask for more bean sprouts or water. It got to the point that they started to ask us to wrap up at pay at 8:45pm. As soon as we are done paying they swamped the table can taking away bowl if you are not actively eating. We are frequent customer. We like pho restaurant simply because it's easy and fast. Their food is okay not the best. The meat are a bit thin and mostly bones for grill pork. Main complains are the chopstick and spoons are a bit filthy. Stop going there because the service staff are so rude. We take our group of 9 people else where every Friday now. Maybe some other restaurant may like to take our the business and treat us better.. There are many options when it come to Vietnamese...
