ALDI — Local services in Surprise

I I don’t usually write reviews, but I wanted to share some feedback on customer service. As I approached the registers with a full cart, I saw the only cashier ask for a manager and backup. The backup cashier (a girl with pink in her braids) helped only two customers before closing her register. She told me to go to the first register, where there were already two people waiting and a manager assisting a return. I didn’t mind waiting, but it took quite a while. It felt like the backup cashier was more focused on leaving the register than helping with the line. This definitely left a poor impression which other customers noticed. While I waited, the line grew longer, and one customer behind me left her items and just walked out. Ironically, the backup was called again to help, still appearing rushed to leave. Just no customer service in her demeanor.

Other than that, the store has amazing deals, clean, and a lot of stuff to choose from. I would definitely come back. The main cashier was sweet, communicative, and I can tell she is a hard worker. She tried her best to ensure each customers experience was going smoothly especially with that whole situation of the customer...

Being from California and having an Aldi all over the place , it was hard to get used to the fact that if you live in the Surprise' Youngtown, El Mirage Sun City area you have to drive all the way to the one in Glendale past the Arrowhead Mall if you wanted to shop at Aldi. Overall, not a good place if you want a one in done grocery store. Product selection is pretty limited. Also for being new to the area and trying to attract a customer base, you would think that they would help explain to their customers how the checkout system works instead of making you feel dumb and say oh that’s not how we work around here and then give no context. Personally, I think you get a better bakery, produce, dairy, meat selection at the Trader Joe’s...
