Came in at 8:50pm April 2nd to pick out some new shoes last minute for my husbands birthday, went to check out a couple of minutes past 9pm and was given the most attitude by the short white female cashier with dirty blonde/light brown hair (Elizabeth). Lots of audible huffing and puffing and taping her phone multiple times to check the time, all because my card declined once due to it being expired and I forgot to update it on my Afterpay tap to pay card, so it took me all of about 2 minutes to do it on my phone and you could visibly see that I had my physical card out and was updating it, yet all of a sudden she said "is there a problem?" in a very rude tone. And continued to be snippy the entire time I was checking out. AND she didn't discount both pairs of shoes that I bought. Only one 40% discount was applied to one pair out of my 2 pairs of shoes that were the same exact style. All in all her attitude came from it being a few minutes past 9pm and she wanted to go home, which she still wouldn't have been able to do since there were still customers in the building AND she still would've had to count out her till before leaving. Which I get, however in customer service positions, huffing and puffing gets you nowhere. Neither does having an outrageous attitude. This girl needs some serious talking to by management, and if there's a slim chance she happens to be a manager? She definitely doesn't deserve the position and should be demoted. Next time she does this to a customer I'm sure she won't get as nice of a response as I gave to her. Do better Dicks, some of your employees are starting to live up to the name...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI stopped in on 11/22 to get my daughter a pair of gym shoes. Racked up a few hundred dollars after walking around for a couple hours and my phone died. When I got to the cashier my card was locked and with my phone being dead I wasn't able to use my card.Elizabeth (Betsy) very rude older blonde woman huffed and puffed at me as if I disrupted her entire day. Realizing the line was waiting I said can you just void it, but keep it here so I can run to my car and recharge to unlock my card āless than 5 minsā. She screamed at me repeatedly stating āI can't do anything now thanks a lotā. I said just void the transaction and forget about it as I started to walk away the other cashier sent someone behind me to be rung upā¦
Well Betsy (if that's her name since my receipt says Elizabeth) screams to the customer to go back in line because she couldn't do anything. She proceeded to laugh and mock me and let them know entire line (about 10 people) know that āāmy transaction declinedā and suggested to the line that I apply for a credit card after I had already decline once. I called for a manger (Daniel) who told me I could file a formal complaint once I came back from the car. (they thought forsure I didn't have the money and wouldn't be back)
I went to the car charged my phone unlocked my card and came in to complete the transaction. Afterwards I met with Daniel to file my complaint. He instead took my information and promised me a call back.
That surely didnt make things better. Unfortunately I wont return to this location. And I will advise others...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery poor customer service at this location. I was looking at golf bags and saw an employee standing around just looking at his phone. I went over to ask him a question and I got a very generic answer. I feel he had an "I don't care" attitude because he never even offered to come over to the golf bags to show or explain anything. When I left the store, he was leaving work, so that may explain why he didn't care.
Later, we went and looked at bicycles. A employee with a frustrated look on his face was working on another bike. He walked away a few minutes after we arrive and never asked if he could help.
We ended up buying a golf bag and had a coupon for $20 off. We didn't realize the golf bag was part of the "excluded" portion of the coupon. Until we did, the guy behind the register just kept scanning the code and said "No, it didn't work." He didn't offer to help or explain either. He did finally grab a manager after we asked him to do so and the manager tried the code. Obviously, he didn't know the bag was an "exclusion" either. He finally said it was and walked away. Not even a "sorry about that."
My wife wants to return the bag due to the terrible customer service but we haven't found a replacement yet. We will avoid Dick's Sporting Goods...
