What a fantastic children's museum! It's all about creativity, play, and exploration, - and meets that goal - (rather than falling into the trap of overstimulation like many children's museums have). My kids were so content in each room, and each room presented new opportunities for open-ended play.
The sand room was a favorite right when we walked in. My kids walked in and started playing right away with the huge table full of kinetic sand, and after a couple minutes, we were greeted by one of the staff members who was incredibly kind and knowledgeable about Taos and other good hikes, etc we could do while staying in Taos.
The clay room, another favorite, as they allow kids to hand build with real clay and even sometimes try their hand at a pottery wheel! What an opportunity! Then, the nature room, where you can explore an array of natural items like coral skeletons with magnifying glasses. So cool. Then, there's a painting room, a crafting room, and then the place opens up into a fairy-land of color, what looks like rooms full of fun interactive art installations! Not to mention all of the building materials kids can use to create tunnels and even marble runs! This place was a total gem. We loved it so much we came back the next day!
I could not recommend this place more. They clearly know what they're doing, and the kids all gave it double thumbs up....
Read moreImagine is such an incredible resource for our small town. The staff are so personable, helpful, and generous with their presence with the children, and parents. They have a lifetime of experience working with children in an educational capacity and wisely understand child development and various educational pedagogies so well and are eager to share their insights and curiosities. The rooms hold endless possibilities for creative exploration through play, hands on crafting, and unique “ecosystems” to engage with. The facility is an excellent and rare resource for family/educational groups looking for a space to gather and play and learn in tandem or apart from the traditional school system. I am beyond impressed with Imagine and have been a regular visitor with my 3 year old. We can spend hours so happily here, and are so grateful it is a free space to come and...

Our 5 and 7 year olds loved exploring every room and both found many things to keep them engaged and creating. My children loved it so much, they demanded to go back a second day. The staff were kind, patient, and helpful and truly excited to see children utilizing everything available. The space is accessible for all abilities. Please visit and support this...
