Loved this place. Great Shopping and amazing hanging out area. Five Stars +. For the shopping strip

Before my trip to NM I google the area and wanted to come here to John Dunn Shops.

Specifically wanted to go into the store Bead Creations to buy a pair of earrings for sons teacher (seen online).

Zero stars for the store.

A family mom dad 2 kids around 7-9 perhaps. As they enter you hear the mom say the usual Don’t touch anything

They come in MOM demands I said don’t touch anything

The store lady says… HANDS behind your back. (Like a police officer) You have to have museum hands in here OR moms gonna be buying some beads!!!

I’m like. 🤔Um I don’t see any artifacts in here girl LOL like nothing in here represents our freedom or any archaeological findings LOL

They walk out. I walk out. I will not patronize that rudeness

Could have easily said “Thank you Mom “ clearly she minds her children.

Side note Bought a beautiful beaded New Mexico bracelet from a local vendor posted up at the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. Check...

Always pet friendly and delightful. You may hear Paul and Grace playing their flutes as they sell them on the Plaza, or enjoy Marshalls delicious food at his kiosk at the South End . The John Donne shops is an incredible shopping experience in the heart of Taos. Just off the Breezeway from the Taos Plaza, the John Donne shops occupy a historic piece of Taos while offering a unique shopping experience. Everything from artist collectives to Clothiers to local sourced Coffee Shop to books...

Best place in Taos to buy a gift for someone, or a treat for yourself! I've bought a great pair of espardilles at Steppin' Out, a good book from Op.Cit books, a quality flannel from the mens shop, something for my baby nephew at Amina's Children's Boutique, kitchen stuff for me at Monet's kitchen, and something for my mom from Moda. Oh, and I can't forget lunch at Bent Street Deli! I love that there are actually useful shops like this in the...
