If you’re into heaven and chocolate .. I’ll tell you what .. this place blows my heart wide open. And my taste buds too. Oh my. The coffee is deliciously on point. The chocolates are perfectly done. I always go basic & have always chosen the sipping chocolate that is more on the traditional side & it’s chefs kiss.

My favorite? Glad you asked! Hands down it is a tie between the rosemary chocolate caramels & I really enjoy the whipped mousse. Gahhh. The white mousse will make you DANCE and it comes with homemade whipping cream?? OMG. What is going on New Mexico!? Every time I visit I am coming through.

Last time I went, I brought a friend and it was the same situation for her .. she went nuts & brought her family back home some treats. I’ll without question be back & happily roam around your small little shop as if it’s Willy Wonkas joint.

In conclusion- I am in love with this joint. Every time I go .. I spend over 100 doll hairs & I have no regrets. None. Not one.

Thank you for your wonderful delectables you concoct & thank you for reading my heartfelt soapboxed speech. May something good happen...

The higher the percentage, the more intense and less sweet the chocolate - Your common sad quality of chocolate Hershey bar sits at tops 30% ( give Hershey history a quick research)

So let’s say…. Maybe your feeling a tad overwhelmed by the fancy writing and the extra words on the chocolate bars but trust me. Just read the main flavors and the percentage and TRY IT

I absolutely love everything about this place, from the bars, sipping chocolate, affogato, mousse that was whipped into a perfect cloud, bonbons and so much more. Let me not even get started on the absolutely amazing customer service - Shout out to Alice!!! You’re absolutely amazing!!

My favorite of the bunch - Whisky Cake (if you have this with the raspberry cake it will taste like the BEST Gansito you ever had in your life)

Lavender Sipping chocolate - If you’re a lover of floral teas, this is beautifully balanced with a hint of lavender not a punch. Rich flavor that transported me back to my youth with a bollio bread in one hand and a champurrado in the...

Awful experience today. The young lady who greeted us when we came in was extremely nice and helpful and very friendly. Unfortunately the young man who helped us pick out chocolates for my sister was rude , dismissive and condescending. My son thought he might’ve been high, but we weren’t sure. At one point we thought about just leaving, but my son knew how important it was to send this to my sister for Thanksgiving. I had seen online that there was a special if you bought $25 you got free shipping and I asked the young man about this, he said he had no idea what I was talking about and if that was online it had nothing to do with him. unfortunately, I thought that the shop offered shipping and I did ask him how it would be sent … He told me he had no idea he didn’t know I was gonna to ship it. I am in my 70s and I have liked this store for quite some time we usually bring our friends that are visiting from out of town to the store to enjoy the chocolate, however from here on out I will not step foot in that store as I was treated...

We were going to the place on the other side of the street for a coffee as they were highly recommended but they were closing and asked us to come back. We ended up at Chokola and have absolutely no regret. The place is awesome. From service to products it is definitely great. We had two trios. The owner was super flexible to accommodate our wishes. We tested the mousses (lemon ginger, dulce de leche, dark chocolate) the gluten free hazelnut cake, a florentin and a salted caramel bonbon assorted with cappuccino and expresso. Everything was delicious. You can feel the passion of the team for chocolate and client satisfaction. The place was busy but service was quick and not rushed. A must to visit in Taos for a delicious treat and coffee.

Came in for the mocha (not super impressed unfortunately, as you can see in the picture it's straight chocolate on the bottom and you can't mix it with the paper straw given). But they get 1 star for the horrible health code violation we observed. The woman cutting the chocolate had her 4-5 year old at the work surface with her who was clearly sick, and we observed the child cough on all of the chocolate several times. I'm really horrified that she would let her child cough all over the food and possibly infect countless people. Viral illnesses can kill children, elderly, and immunocompromised and it is just so inappropriate to put so many people at risk. Honestly the health inspector should be called on them.

Even if you walk in and buy nothing, this place is worth the visit. It smells like chocolate heaven. If you've ever dreamed of bathing in chocolate, this is where you need to be. But I dare you not to buy any - the salespeople will totally give you a sample to taste if you ask, and after that, you'll be hooked. We got their $8 chocolate flight, with two mousses and a bon bon. The lemon ginger mousse was unforgettably unique and delicious. I also bought a bar of bean-to-bar Cholola dark chocolate, and milk chocolate bar (with star anise and carmelized lavender!) by a Belgian chocolatier that I could take home with me to make my vacation last a little longer.
