Lori's Soap Shop — Local services in Tarpon Springs

I rarely write reviews because unless I can say something positive, I just keep my thoughts to myself. But, in this case I need to elaborate on this Tarpon Springs gem! My neighbor gave me one of Loris soap/sponge combination bars in Lemongrass scent. I was skeptical, but from the first time I used it in the shower I was hooked. As a 68 year old natural redhead, my skin is on the dry side. The soap creates a soft smooth lather and the sponge works as an exfoliant at the same time. On a daily basis I use both bug and sun screen since I'm outside either bicycling, kayaking, volunteering for the FL Parks Dept, or doing yard work for myself and others, so at the end of the day I look forward to washing all that "stuff" off my skin. I was watching tv after the first use and noticed my legs and arms were much softer and had a glow, as if I'd just used an oil-based lotion on them. I thought, wow, this softness and glow is from the soap. I asked my neighbor to purchase a few more bars for me during her next trip to visit family near Tarpon Springs. My daughter lives in Los Angeles, so I sent her a list a few days ago of their scents (a quite extensive list) and asked for her four favorite. My daughter has no idea why I asked. I have never felt so uncomfortable in a store in my entire life. I was there with my daughter and family. My daughter is 3 years old and she slipped and hit the side of her head on the corner of one of the displays and knocked down some bottles. As my cousin was picking up the bottles that fell on the floor the old lady behind the counter rudely said “you better pick those up” at the same time my daughter is hysterically crying. I was waiting for my daughter to relax to then pick up the bottles and she kept scolding at us calling us irresponsible. I first visited Lori's in person at the sponge docks and have since ordered online. They are so friendly and sincerely value each person that walks through the door. For one of the online orders that I placed they even wrote a nice handwritten note in the package. The soaps are the BEST; so much better than any of the other shops in Tarpon Springs. The goats milk soaps lather unbelievably rich. The olive oil soap is also so nice, and the unscented olive oil soap is very relaxing. It is wonderful for people with sensitivities. Before my experience with Lori's, soap was just a necessary commodity. Now it is something I eagerly look forward to receiving...
