I wanted to take the whole family Bicycling , I'm a avid rider but knew that other non riders would no be able to go very far so renting E bikes for them seamed like a perfect solution . We left the store and headed south along m13 . It wasn't far before we got out of the city and started to enjoy the black top paved path that winds along with nice views of Lake Huron . My seven friends and I had a great experience renting e-bikes from Charlie Horse in Tawas City. Drew and Steve gave us an excellent tutorial, sized the bikes and seats for us, and tricked us out with the right helmets. We rode from the shop to the lighthouse in Tawas State Park and back over two hours, about 14 miles round trip. It was a great day being on the shores of Lake Huron with wonderful friends. 10/10 customer service, honesty, comedic relief & price. I popped a tire on my way to the campground in town & had to walk past his shop. I stopped in to see if he had any bike tire repair capabilities and boy did he! I got my bike tire tube and tire replaced while I waited in his massage chair.
