Pressured, Misled, and Taken Advantage Of While Homeless
Review:
I was pressured into signing a gym membership on April 8, 2025, even after I kept telling them I couldn’t afford it and had no money. I was homeless and struggling, and they kept contacting me until I finally gave in. The only reason I agreed was because I was told I’d get a free month and could cancel after that.
The manager, Erin Yosimoto, never went over the contract with me. I was not told that I only had five business days to cancel without penalty. If I had known that, I would have never signed up.
They made it sound like it was no big deal and that I could cancel anytime. I trusted what they were telling me, but they never gave me the real facts. Now I’m being held to a contract I never truly agreed to, and they’re ignoring the fact that I’m homeless and have no income.
This whole experience has been nothing but stress and deception. I feel like they completely took advantage of me when I was already in a vulnerable place. No one deserves to be treated like this. If you're thinking about signing up here—be very careful. Make sure they explain everything, because they didn’t explain anything to me.
now stuck in this membership gotta figure how ima pay it everymonth or i just get to pay 250 bucks that dont have to get out of this....
Read moreMost of these five star reviews are about the staff's great customer service and their successful sale strategy for selling a preorder for a gym membership, not about being in the actual gym environment. Per their team at the time of this posting, via a voicemail, they are not going to be open for business for at least another month.
The one star rating comes from their sales approach. I've told multiple team members dating back to October of last year that I am not interested in signing up. Despite this, they are still calling and emailing me about the gym's opening date plus special signup offer. I even had one woman say in her voicemail that I was listed as a Do Not Call back in February...
Constant harassment does not equal good salesmanship, it just drives people to never want to deal with your branch again. Plus, it reinforces the stereotype of gym memberships being an absolute pain to deal with. Hopefully, the owner will read this review and have the Sales staff make a note of non-interested customers. Microsoft Excel and CRM Account notes can alleviate any misunderstandings now and...
Read moreTo be completely honest it’s more of a 4.5 but google doesn’t allow that. So I will instead try and justify a full star missing even though it’s damn near 5 star worthy. It’s not the biggest gym, and as always don’t let that fool you, they’ve gotten the machines in there and while it’s a touch snug, you still aren’t on top of one another. 2 squat/bench racks and a smith machine. There’s not a exercise you can’t accomplish unless you’re picky… I’m picky, they have cable machine towers but they don’t have it set up in order to be able to do cable flies, and a few other exercises I prefer. That’s it. That’s the honest only problem I found. Your yearly enhancement/maintenance fee going to actual enhancement the gym is a lot more rare than you’d think. I have to pay taxes, and I don’t mind when I can see where they go. I don’t mind paying the yearly enhancement fees when I can see where they go. The bathrooms are large, and clean, and the showers are very large, I’m 6’3” 260 and I have plenty of room. Also, the water pressure is pretty decent, that makes a...
