I’ve been coming for 6 months (thus far), thanks to the reference from my husband, which the VA referred him. He showed Me the excellent work Dr. Chien and his team did in his molar. I remember the first time coming I was so nervous…ok, scared but the ladies were welcoming with a genuine smile and continue to be with every visit. I started with fillings and replacement of old fillings and Dr. Chien was so gentle and patient, explaining every step in detail, asking if I had questions. He even gave my jaw breaks in between drilling and filling to relax my jaw (no dentist, in my past has ever been that considerate to do that). He would apologize if he thought he had me waiting…again something dentist doesn’t do.

On another visit I had a cleaning and Victoria (Dental Hygienist) was so gentle, she explained every step in detail, asking me throughout how I was and if I was ok. She answered my questions of what type of toothpaste and mouthwash …even said she would text me what she recommends…and did!

Chelsea (Front Desk and Dental Asst.) started my orthodontist work. She told me of wax to use for the wire that was rubbing my inner jaw where I had no tooth and showed me on Amazon what waves I could use. After removing the wax prior to brushing the rubbing kept happening. I made an appt. again to come in (which they are always so accommodating). This time she said she researched on Amazon a cover to go over the wire…and it’s been working ever since! She said I was the first patient she’s had to get that for.

Amy (Dental Asst.) is very dental in explains every step in the process when tightening my braces, even selected a better color to better go with 50 and over. She’s very gentle and always for warns me when there’s going to be pressure. At the end of my service she always ask me if anything is rubbing and is very patient when removing what is rubbing, always asking (with a nice genuine tone), “is that better?”

I have to of my most recent visit. I went in for my monthly tightening. I felt grinding in my front tooth (which is why I got braces because it was crooked and wavy at the bottom) and another tooth at the bottom. The front took had straightened out pretty good…but when I got in my car I looked in the mirror and it was AMAZING! Dr. Chien and Amy had did it! It wasn’t wavy at the bottom and the bonding was PERFECT! Now I’m happier about having orthodontist work done and not afraid nor nervous to come to the dentist.

This dentist office is truly the most professional, accommodating, patient and caring office…. Come and receive the best experience you’ll ever have...

We are a family with 2 kids and have been clients for 2 years.

Every time I was going for cleaning there was a new assistant that was doing the cleaning so painful. I even experienced small bleeding after one time. I brought that to the front desk because the next day my kids should be there for cleaning too. Hopefully, only the doctor must do cleaning for the kids. But after 6 months I saw the same person unfortunately for me it was the same painful experience.

My wife installed two implants over there. Shortly after a shift installation, it was bleeding for 4 hours. We had no choice other than to go to the ER. The bill from ER was $2k. When brought that to Doc Chien he replied it's your situation and he's not responsible for that kind of thing. Second, implant production happens somewhere else, not in their office. My wife headed there a couple of times for installation that never happened because the implants had the wrong side. Third, it just appears after the X-ray that implants were installed on the very edge so that work should be redone.

Doc denied filing for me but wanted to install an implant instead. I had a work trip scheduled to Europe and did it there. It's been 4 years since then, no issues.

We moved from Temecula to Irvine 2 years ago and changed dentists at that time. Yesterday I received a bill from them after not being a customer for 2 years. They don't do any work without upfront payment. How it appears that we owe something they don't know. I was talking with Chelsea and requested to call me back but never...

I just recently tried out Sunshine dental. I had previously gone to a different and I'm saying different dental group. With a toothache they told me that my feeling was cracked and the feeling was so big that I would need to have my tooth extracted. And that I would need to decide whether I needed an implant or a bridge. Both very costly. They wanted me to make a decision while I was sitting in the dentist chair. I told them email me the information and I would get back to them.

Fast forward the feeling has fell out my tooth hurts more than it did before so I seek out a different dentist thinking that I would need to have the tooth removed.

Sunshine dental got me an appointment the same day of course it was an emergency appointment. I'd just like to say thank you for all the staff that had the work late because of me.

Imagine my surprise when I met with Dr Chein. He told me that he could save the tooth. Very exciting for me because of the cost and the keep your original teeth is better any day than having a bridge or an implant.

Dr Chein went to work on me with the expertise of a Swiss watchmaker. And save my tooth. The pain is gone my tooth feels better I have my original tooth I cannot say how thankful I am to Sunshine dental.
