I apologize to the owner Jay who I met years ago outside of this store only to find out he owned it. Iâve been a customer for years until today. This employee David Zerai. Couldnât have handled a situation any worse. He literally doesnât know how to quit talking and pressuring you to buy something. When I bought my last hat a week prior to today, I wasnât sure if it was too tight. I told him, I would wait to see if it would fit once my hair grew out. He continued to pressure me to buy it or it would be out of stock since it was a special edition. I asked him, If I bring it back would it be an issue and he said not if you have the receipt. He started bending the rim aggressively without asking me tellig me it would fit better. I told him more than once I didnât want him to keep bending it but he was hard of hearing. I ended up bringing it back a week later without taking it out of the bag because I was comfortable with itâs fit. He remembered me and told me not to worry, he could keep stretching it out. I told him, I wanted a new hat, so he checked my hat out and told me to pick one out. I spent a while deciding the hat and he told me âyouâre spending too much time, youâre over thinking it, no hat is perfectâ. I literally couldnât look at a hat without him taking it out to find my size. I finally decided on a Dodger hat and upon check out he again said, I can stretch it out. I told him no, I didnât want a stretched out hat. He was upset I didnât want this hat clearly. He looked at the hat I was returning again and said it looks like theirs residue here and that doesnât just happen. I said âIâm telling you I necer wore it out. Again he stating the residue statement a few more times. I told him âlook, I donât know why you continue to imply I wore the hat. It literally never left the bag.â I told him remember I told you then I was more than likely bringing back the hat because I wanted to see if it fit once my hair grew out. He told me I didnât pressure you to buy it. I replied I literally couldnât look at a hat without you pushing me to buy it. Remember he told me no hat is perfect so just get it. He continued to tell me to calm down just to upset me more. He threatened to call security just to make a bigger deal out of nothing. Iâm not sure if he was intimidated by how I handled his claims. I had difficulty handling him talking loud and telling me not to disrespect him. So I said you talk too much, and I donât need him giving his thought. I told him from the beginning he was on my ass like a fly. He said he is just doing his job and said â donât come into my store we donât need your serviceâ. I told him âso now you own the store? Where is Jay? He doesnât own it any longer? He said yeah he does. I said so this isnât your store. He told me I was being disrespectful and he was just saying he sold hats for years and residue doesnât just happen. After educating customer service to him, I told him then he should know better than to sell hats with residue on them and I would make sure to let everyone know not to deal with him should they choose to support this business. I had my family with me and child with me while this took place and it wasnât easy havig this experience. However, I will end my business here and hope management takes appropriate action. I looked him up @david_zerai and see picture and picture of him flipping the camera off and guns etc. Makes sense who I was speaking to and this is not a good image for your...
Read moreOk so Iâve been coming to this Hat Club since it opened at AZ Mills. This is by far the best place to grab a hat. The customer service is top notch. The crew that works here is always willing to help and over the years theyâve become great people that I love to go in to see even if itâs just to browse.
Davy was a manager that worked there and she helped me through some of my toughest times along with J whoâs still currently there. I was nearly homeless 3 years ago and sadly had to sell most of my collection and these 2 were always just very kind to me even when I had some times nearly breaking down where I would just hit up the mall just to get out of the state I was in. Big ups to Davy!!!
Now J. Heâs been the plug for hats for a while now. Always making sure the shop is in tip top shape and very welcoming. When Covid hit it was very crushing and I wasnât sure how everything would work with the shop. J and his staff have the shop so clean are always sanitizing, wearing masks, playing great music, and making sure everyone is safe with limiting the store when needed.
J has given me great life advice over the years. He helped subdue some angers and issues I had as well as given me great stories. So because of him I feel that customer service is WAY above and beyond with him especially. That manager in the past Davy as well was always so genuine like I mentioned during my worst times and even my best times.
Then there is Marco that works here. Marco has been great. Always helping me make decisions on what to add to my collection. One of my most memorable hats was when I honored my Momâs passing anniversary by doing everything in one day that we used to do and one was grab a hat at hatclub. Marco helped me choose a Twins hat. My memory of the twins was from the movie little big league. So thanks Marco. Youâve been tremendous in terms of helping me with what I want. Helping some of my buddies. Gifts for girls Iâve dated and more. This guy is top notch.
Richard who worked here was amazing too. He always had a smiling face and gave great tips on how to care for my hats and more. Heâs helped pick so many that are in my collection and has always been top of the line. Big ups bro!
I donât want to forget Justice. I see him occasionally and he is always willing to hop on the ladder and pull something down and the drop of a dime. Heâs always real chill and kind as well. Big ups to you as well.
I suggest grabbing a can of their spray and cleaner when stopping in. Iâve had had that are nearly 20 years old from here that still look very very new as if I just bought them. Spray it on and youâll be good for a while. Go to the gym, hiking or anywhere and the spray protects you. They also offer a service of giving you a spray down on the hat after purchase. So ask the crew for it.
Much love to this store and staff of hatclub. As a long time collector this is by far the only place I will purchase...
Read moreI was with my dad there and the lady at the front was arguing with another lady đ and she was the one scanning and putting the hats in the bag. On my motherâs life IVE NEVER SEEN SOMEONE TAKE 10 MINUTES TO SCAN A HAT AND PUT IT IN A BAG. The lady too forever?!? And she just kept yapping and arguing with her other co worker who literally didnât do anything bad? Someone gotta fire that lady who was scanning the hats đ she had terrible customer service! She mustâve been dead for something cause her dumbass didnât give us the stickers? đ¤Śââď¸honestly Iâm not one to complain about workers because they work hard but this lady was honestly getting on my nerves because she just wouldnât scan the damn hat and put it in a bagđ¤Śââď¸ she just made her job harder for herself fr.
