I have never been more disappointed in a store. A few weeks ago, my husband and I ended up at the Academy in Texarkana. He accidently stepped on the edge of something, we truly thought was like paper and when he did, it shot across the floor, through some workers. He felt horrible but went to where he could not get to it. Okay, there was that .. now as we walked around the store we began noticing items on the floor.. then it seemed like the more we paid attention, the more we saw. Numerous hats, clothing items, just thrown under clothes racks. It was out of the norm, so we thought. We'll aboyt 3 weeks passed and we went in there looking for a hat and told ourselves we were going to pay attention to the cleanliness.. this is absolutely unbelievable. If I was store manager here, I would be embarrassed. There is NO excuse for there to be the amount of clothes, hats, hangers, pants, shirts and whatever else is laying on the floor. We saw employees just walking right kn by it. I saw one employee on the phone. It absolutely blew our minds that the store still looked like it did. We were going to buy a hat but thought about ut and just left. I mean literally looks like someone had a handful of stuff, threw it in the air and was like weeee, that was fun and it landed where it landed. Corporate needs to go to that store and see for themselves how...
Read moreMy son and I visited the store today. We looked for shoes of a specific brand and no. They had a very limited selection and what they did have, were ugly. Then we went to the firearms department. I had decided before hand that I wanted a lever action rifle. Either a Sharps or a Rossi. I also wanted an old west style six-shooter. My son wanted a shotgun. All told, I was planning on around a $2000 cost. These two old geezers at the counter had zero desire to help us in choosing what we might want. One was too busy pecking away at the computer and the other was too busy leaning against the gun display rack. When we had finished browsing the inventory and wanted to actually look at a few different items, I stood and stared at them and waited. The one pecking never looked up, even though I was less than 3 feet from him. The other just stared back at me but never offered any assistance at all. I finally asked about an unmarked firearm and my son asked to actually hold it. He wasn’t sure if it was what he wanted so handed it back to him at which point the lazy geriatric just walked off without another word. We didn’t bother to ask anything else and Academy lost out on $2000+ in sales because they found some nursing home escapees to stand like broken down wooden dummies behind...
Read moreI had a cashier who continued to cough on my merchandise to a point we're I flat demanded that she sanitize her hands & then I picked out a pair of tennis shoes that was marked down but ended up getting charged a higher cost which at customer service the lady come to say the shoes had been put in the wrong box which I ask if all the other pair of tennis shoes of the same kind had been put in the wrong boxes since they all had the same price as the one I had picked up,but she kept asking me if I wanted the tennis shoes at the higher cost & I said no , only for the price they were marked for. So I ended up getting a refund & allowing the tennis shoes to stay at the store. There was only one regular register open with a line of customer between 35 to 40 customer's waiting to be checked out to the point we're some customers refused to wait in such a long line they were just placing the merchandise they had wanted to buy down & leaving the store. I heard a lady working behind customer service desk say, how they just did not have any more employees to help out. Customer service was trying to help check out some customers, but it still was a wait with so little help especially...
