Bassett Furniture — Local services in The Woodlands

We were looking for stylish, durable, and comfortable furniture for a new home. Specifically, we were looking to furnish a complete living room, dining room, breakfast nook and a bedroom. After an exhaustive search at other furniture stores, we found ourselves disappointed to find overpriced furnishings that were not comfortable, sturdy or timeless. That is when we visited Bassett Furniture, Woodlands, TX, and were greeted by one of their designers, Julie Kerkhof, with whom we were fortunate enough to worked closely with during our experience at Bassett.

The whole experience has been exceptional. Their furniture leans to the transitional, working beautifully with a multitude of styles. It goes without saying that their pieces are incredibly comfortable and sturdy. The Beckham couch, especially, is out of this world plush and provides excellent support! Julie has been a gem and working with her has been an absolute pleasure. Gracious with her time and thoughtful in all she does, she facilitated a stress free experience us. She listened to our vision, came up with multiple options in an array of colors and styles until we found exactly what we were looking for. Her ability to pull things together is truly amazing!

It doesn't stop there, though. Every experience we have had has been "white glove". Every interaction, from their store manager, Nancy to Mindy with delivery, Mackenzie with service and even delivery has been a luxury, top tier experience.

After meeting in store and talking about what we were going for with our new and mostly empty house, Brickelle came out to the house for measurements and further discussion of possible styles for the living/kitchen area. We enjoyed the back and forth creative process. She put a lot of time into the plan, which along with the house visit was a free service provided to us by Bassett, and we enjoyed the "reveal". Even if it is by nature a little cheesy you can't help but look forward to how things might turn out. We are executing on the plan in phases as we go, for budget reasons. The first phase is under way, quality is very good for the price, and we have made some tweaks and substitutions and minor design changes along the way. So good to work with someone who can advise and guide, while leaving any decisions completely up to you - and it's key that someone else has the big picture in mind. My wife and I don't always agree and Brickelle has been very good at helping us navigate. She is a very capable designer with great creative sensibilities, which she tailors to the practical needs of our budget; she is prompt and courteous; and she is fun to work with. 5 stars. And the same for Bassett customer service and delivery. Furniture has been on time and in perfect condition. Couldn't be more satisfied with our Bassett experience...

We came to this store thinking we would get high quality furniture since all of it is made when you buy it. The wrong size bed was ordered and we were compensated with a small discount. Then we get our furniture with a defected lamp that scratched up the night stand and bed post that were loose and wobbly. Also a pillow had two buttons missing. We recieved a new lamp but then the second batch of bed post were the wrong color/finish. We talked to the customer service people and they stated someone would be calling us in which no one has and we called back a week later and the manager just so happen to be on vacation and the sales lady has not called us back. We hope to get our furniture in working condition in which this nightmare has went on for almost 2 months. If they offer the warranty, please buy it because with all the defects of the furniture we had we wished we would have. Will not be shopping here again. They talk about how much better they are than Ashleys and Starr....well we have bought furniture from both of those stores and the furniture was delivered in excellent condition. They need to train the people who make the furniture again and pay attention to craftmanship. People work too hard to buy...
