Cherry Valley Plumbing & Electrical — Local services in Thornapple Township

I had a great experience with Cherry Valley Plumbing and Electrical. From the first call with Lori to the free quote visit with Jeff and then the various services I had done with Steve, Zach and Carson, the whole team made me feel comfortable and cared for. If you're currently shopping around reading reviews and calling places go no further, this is the one.

Most of the places I called first wanted to charge me to come out and give me a quote, A QUOTE. Ridiculous. If I'm shopping around how does this help a person save money? In this day and age this also could be done with pictures over email or text (which CVPE offered as well). If a plumber wants to charge $90 just to come give me a quote and that quote is overpriced I'm out the $90 anyway, nope.

So they sent out Jeff to give me a quote. He was very helpful and answered all my questions as he walked around with me and looked at the various list of plumbing projects I had been putting off, including my broken sink which started this whole ball rolling. He gave me a ball park quote but said he would get the real quote to me the next business day. They emailed me the final quote which I thought was a very fair price for all of it. So after a few communications back and forth I said yes and set the appointment for service.

On the appointment day Steve showed up within the window given, answered all my questions and went to work on the various projects one by one throughout the house. Steve was efficient and easy to talk to. He made sure to get all the projects done that required the water be shut off the first day and made sure to explain everything to me. He was out toward the end of the day so he had to come back to finish the sink install the next day. On the second day Steve was back with help from Zach, another polite, personable service member of CVPE (which they all were) to get the sink in. After the sink was in and they tested it and left I noticed the trap was leaking a bit (my bad luck not theirs). They sent someone right back out, Carson another excellent team member, and switched out the trap, put some pipe dope on it and the problem was solved. That was a week ago. Since then it's dry as a bone and everything is working beautifully.

Thanks again to the whole Cherry Valley Plumbing and Electrical team! What a great experience. I felt like everyone I interacted with cared about what they do and helping me fix my problems without overcharging like I feel most plumbers do. You have a customer for life in our household. Keep up the great work and hope I don't need to see...

Although the work was completed and the guys were very nice the billing department is a total mess. They don't mention it's two separate companies. They sent the bills via email to my contractor even after he asked them to send them to me. We have documents time stamped while I was present and the contractors secretary verified with the billing department what the final total was for plumbing and electric. I finally got a bill in the mail for less than she said. I called to be sure it was accurate and said again for plumbing and electric. I then started receiving threatening texts that I owe $3200 more which was over the initial dollar amount we were told. They blame everyone except themselves for the giant misunderstanding. I would like to have correspondence with the owners themselves so they can be made aware of the situation. Until then I'll make payments. If they contact me or I can figure out how to speak directly to the owner I'll make them aware of this and pay in full...

I had them over to my house in kentwood to upgrade an extremely old electrical box. The price was fair and competitive with others in the area. They did extra work that I was not expecting and when I asked they explained that it needed to be done to keep things up to code. I was not charged extra and I was pleasantly surprised that they took the time to really look at the house as a whole and not just the electrical box as I assumed. We recently moved an hour away from our old house and I had to call them for some work to be done at the new house. I was now 2hrs away from their headquarters but they were happy to oblige. I was met with professionalism and kindness and all of my questions were answered in depth. I now know that I have an electrician that I can call on if I have any issues, I just feel bad that they gotta come all...
