China Kitchen — Restaurant in Thornapple Township

In the Middleville/Caledonia aera, this is the only Chinese restaurant you should order from. Has a huge menu that i am looking forward to trying. It is takeout only, no delivery. If they delivered, I would order at least twice a week. The backbone of any Chinese restaurant is the rice, and they have excellent rice, fresh! No dining in so atmosphere is a one star.

Ordered fried dumplings (excellent), house special soup (good), and beef with mushrooms (ok). I am looking forward to trying different dishes and will update.

Update: 3/9/24 Ordered shrimp egg rolls. Excellent, not premade. They take the time to make them by hand. Curry shrimp for the wife, excellent. It's a lighter type of curry, with fresh veg, not a heavy gravy. Ordered hot, will order hotter next. Beef in garlic sauce. Flavorfull, could have used more beef. (I’ve Lived in Chinatown / Bridgeport in Chicago for two years and ate quality Chinese food daily) This has got to be the worst Chinese food. I can understand there trying. But I am eating it now so disappointed I feel like I can cook better Chinese food. The noodles taste like they were cooked in basement water. It's the only flavor that's happening. I have no idea how you can make these things taste so bad but the fried rice is bad too. I am not even upset I'm impressed they messed up this bad this is my second time going and I would be a fool to go there again. I hope they can figure it out and wish them the best but until then. We used to go here all the time! It has gotten progressively worse., The child who takes order your is adding to the prices. Our food has been wrong the last two times we've ordered.. This time we ordered ahead they never even wrote down the order or started it. Charged my son then told him it was not ready yet.. Then told us it would be extra for things we already paid for.. They were very rude.. Just down right snotty.. Of you're going to talk about my son at least have the decency to do it in English.. Awful! We will never ever give them another dime. Mediocre food.. Price gouging, horrible service! No thank you!...
