The Botanical Co. - Middleville — Local services in Thornapple Township

I’d first like to start by saying… if a liquor store cashier was wasted drunk, prolly would be an issue right? So why should budtenders at a dispensary get a pass on being stoned and high, not being able to do the job efficiently??? With that being said, I stopped in yesterday at 4pm. Previously looking at the menu online before I came in so I knew exactly what I wanted. Asked the male worker who always seems soooo stoned and awkward when you go in there, for a gram of “Peachy Sundae Driver”, a gram of “Peachy Cadillac Belts” and the last one was “scientific trip Big bag” live rosin grams. He was reassuring and acting like he knew exactly what I was talking about. I didn’t think I needed to watch him do his job so I started to look into the other cases at the products while he grabbed these expensive grams for me. At no point did he say they were out of anything or only had discounted grams left. He did mention right away when I asked for these, they were low but that’s it, he just kept reassuring he’s got me. After he grabs them he says I gotta wait for the female employee to check you out (female was with another customer) for the discounts, she’s gotta do that. I thought: huh? Wonder why I’m getting a discount, but thought it’s prolly just a sale you had on peachy brand rosins for the day. So the male employee as the female is ringing me up says “have you tried this east side alchemy? Customers say it’s prolly better even than your getting! You wanna try that instead?”… I said yeah it’s good, I’ve had it before but I don’t want it now. I prefer the peachy brand. I noticed the total for the 3 grams was about $25-$30 cheaper than what the website said it would be so I thought cool. I scan my card and say thank you and walk out… not even to get to my car and look at the receipt to see I’ve gotten one “peachy sundae driver”, a sales floor model discounted “scientific Tripp big bag and another sales floor model discounted “scientific Tripp tangie burger” rosin. First off, the sales floor models are disgusting and I wouldn’t want them whatsoever… secondly, I specifically don’t want sativa strains. Tangie would never be an option id pick. Why would you not say a word about anything?

So I march back inside within 20 seconds and say I didn’t get what I wanted. Explaining what kinds I want and don’t want. They tell me ooops sorry, they got me, no problem! The female after looking around the fridges says… okay we don’t have any peachy Cadillac belts. Ohhh great! That would have been great to know the first time around! I tell her I don’t want this tangie burger rosin and she tells me I have to keep it. They can’t take it back. They can’t do anything for me other than give me a discount on something else I buy… so I now have to pay more money to get what I originally want? And have to pay for something I didn’t want? A nasty discounted gram at that, all because your employee screwed up and can’t ask questions? Just assumes I’m good with buying an inferior ruined discount product? Then hints at getting another brand hoping id switch last second? To cover up the fact he didn’t grab what I wanted and never said a word? It’s not like I’m grabbing $8 carts and $1 pre rolls. These are very expensive!

The real cherry on top was when the female employee… when asked what do I do with this gram now I never asked for or wanted? She literally told me to break the law and sell the gram of rosin to a friend to get my money back, even selling it for more to make money off said friend… 🤦🏻‍♂️ lmao I can’t make this stuff up!

So I say suuuuuuure. Why not? I’ll spend more money for your error because you’re gonna discount a $40 gram for $23. I gotta get something out of this right? The gram she sells me is another discounted floor sales gram. Horrible quality and would have been discounted anyway… absolute ridiculous!!!

This place is sooooooo inefficient and logistically a nightmare… I’ve had problems and issues here besides this one visit. Don’t even get me started on there menu not having half the...

I got up super early this morning to go get in line at BoCo in middleville Mi. When I got there everyone lined up for the big deal going on today. I was very disgusted with the way the store manager handled the whole event. When we were let in you think we would go in order as we stood in line. Hell no. They let everyone in and the whole line that was originally started was a.mass.standing room only. People from the very back of the line was aloud to go before the people who had showed up way before the place opened. Other dispensaries that have similar events take only 20 people at a time and so on. You need to make a plan for such a huge event before you actually have one. I don't think I will ever go back again. Not the way your supposed to conduct...

If you’re not at Botanical, then you’re at the wrong place! These folks know what’s up and they’re skilled at growing and procuring the best product. Flower is legitimately the best quality and value price in the state (consistently). House brand Franklin Fields is amazing, and they’ve brought in some other great companies like Heavyweight Heads (Detroit Players, Gasleak, Orangutan) and Traphouse (Super Boof Cherry 👍 👍).
