I am beyond disappointed, when i went in to shop they were having their clearance sale and i had been shopping in the home wares area and had grabbed multiple items that were on clearance (had the clearance sticker). When i went up to pay there was a huge line and only one employee (i didn't get her name but she was amazing and kind) and she had called for help and no one seemed to be coming up. There was a lady in the self checkout who appeared to be just standing there and not helping at all. When someone finally came up she seemed to have an attitude and didn't want to be there. I think her name was Katrina or something along the lines but the lady in front me went to her, Katrina didn't greet her at all she seemed to just want to leave and kept making remarks that had attitude. When i had gone up with the other cashier (again she was an angel) my clearance items weren't ringing up as clearance she had to call for some help to get a manager override to get them clearance. That's when Katrina the lady who was helping on the other register, walked over and just asked if she bothered to check to make sure they were clearance, and i was a little upset the way she said it made it seem like i had been lying. After she questioned not only me but the cashier she finally marked the items down which had me there for almost 15 minutes being asked where i found it and if i was sure i grabbed it from the clearance section, when i had only gone in for a few items, which should have only taken 5 mins. Overall i just want to know why the manger is acting that way to a customer it is incredibly unprofessional and i can't even begin to imagine how she treats the employees. The cashier who helped me was a younger girl she looked like she was still in highschool and she was so respectful calling me ma'am and i hope she gets the recognition...
Read moreThe associate who rang me out yelled at my son who has a sensory disorder. At the check out my son stood in the check out and said "look mom I am a worker."(He really thinks a job is cool). He had his tablet in his hands so he couldn't and wouldn't of touched anything I have 20 years of retail mgmt. experience; I know how to deal with this situation. But before I could finish my sentence to my son ("Good for you honey, but lets now get out of there...") Jordan in a shrew and VERY loud voice yelled at him to get out. Also this was in front of other customers and humiliated my son and daughter. He balled up and hid his face. I had to get on the floor with him and coax him out of hiding in his ball. Meanwhile Jordan is UN-apologetically trying to get me to get the card, or some rewards. When I just said "No thank you".(Because I was comforting my SON!!) She screwed up her face and said "You don't?" in a bitchy attitude. Please note, her attitude from the start was fake, and snotty. After the transaction I went to find the manager. When I explained what happened I started to cry over the humiliating experience. NOT once did he assist me out of the main area to some where more private, but his voice got louder asking "What would you like me to do?" How the heck can I answer that!?!?!? I am crying, and embarrassed in front of my two kids! That amounting pressure just freaked me out more. He was more concerned about me writing this to you! He stated, well you are going to contact corporate, and I will have to answer to questions! That's seems to be the only thing he cared about. I left in tears,...
Read moreWhile they have a nice selection of clothing and such on the overall, I often have difficulty finding things that "fit" at Kohls-- by that, I'm not referring to size, but in my own personal style. That said, I am trying to not factor the element into this review too much.
What made a particular impression on me at this location was an all-around difficult interaction when it came to making (an attempt at) a return... Relative to a pair of boots ordered online that just didn't fit, we brought them back hoping to make an even swap for a different size or, if need be, a different style. However, we were met with seemingly insurmountable opposition from the manager at the time. Kohls is known for, supposedly, one of the easier return policies. Unfortunately, that was far from the case-- though only because of the resistance from this manager in particular. She continued to interject new issues everytime we met the previously mentioned problem-- receipt? Check. Condition? Unworn. Timing? Under 40 days. Everything seemed well within policy, and in that we were not seeking money in return or an item of higher price (in all honesty, the pair chosen was priced at some $20 less-- 20% lower), yet still, she seemed more than determined to refuse the exchange on all counts, regardless.
Due to that single event, nobody in our household has returned for a couple years. Unfortunate, really, as the location is close to home....
