I totally get why people are moving away from shopping in department stores and going online. This store could care less about customer service. First off there is NO ONE in the store to help you. I went into the home store to purchase a gift, and couldn’t find anyone to assist me with my purchase. After walking the elite first floor a couple of times, I finally found one lone cashier. I patiently waited in line while she rang up the women in front of me, and as another women lined up behind me to check out with her purchase. I asked the cashier if she would help me find the item I was looking for, given I couldn’t purchase the sample.... she told me she couldn’t go over to the department to help me and asked if I could wait while she took the other customer. I stated that I had been waiting for awhile and would like her to help me since I was next in line... she called her Manager who said she would come and assist (and that didn’t happen) and she proceeded to help the next customer after me. Then she had the gall to walk away with the other customer to help her.... I couldn’t believe it. I was completely frustrated and immediately left without making my purchase. To add insult to injury I decided to call the store and ask to speak to the Manager - laughable, you can’t get anyone to pick-up the phone eve with mutiltiple tries. Bottom line they don’t care if they help their customers either in the store on over the phone. I won’t be going to Macy’s anymore to purchase anything - there is no one there to...
Read moreI would love to leave 0 stars if I could. I had the worst experience here today with my sister. We came to get some sheets and towels. When ready, we found an empty register to pay at with the only two lady employees in that floor at the time.
We waited there for a good minute or so and purposely didn't say anything to see if these women would even acknowledge us. I know a minute does not sound long but we were literally the only costumers clearly waiting to pay right in front of their faces so we immediately felt wierd and thrown off. Anyway, the two ladies continued their conversation about egyption cotton while looking at their computer and ignoring us. There is no way that they didn't see us as the computer was facing us not away from us.
I hate to play this card, but I wouldn't be surprised if they chose to ignore us because we are clearly hispanic. Either way, I was very bothered. I'm not the one to say or confront anyone, so my sister and I went upstairs to the mens department to pay instead. As we walked away they still didn't care to say they were sorry or anything. Unfortunately, I did not get names. All i wish is that the ladies had the the decency to tell us that maybe they needed a minute, or something. This is what leads me to believe they simply didn't want to...
Read moreHad a couple hundred dollars worth of clothing in hand. Employee was taking forever to check out the guy in front of me. He was talking about how he is from Iraq and the customer was from somewhere near there. Then after about 10 minutes he apologized for taking so long. Then another 5 minutes he recommended that I go see the lady at the perfume counter. Seriously how can it take so long? The guy didn't care. Then the lady at the perfume counter couldn't help me. I left. The guy behind me was still waiting in line. Macy's wasted 90 minutes of my life. When you go bankrupt remember how you ran off customers like this. Your employees would rather shoot the breeze than check...
