T.J. Maxx — Local services in Topeka

I've always loved the store but they don't typically have employees around on the floor to help customers so I asked the cashier if they had another item of something I had found d and wanted two. Her I ital answer was if there wasn't a 2nd one where u found it no we don't have anymore. It was a candy item and I told her I found it by her register. She then said well then I don't know. She didn't offer to get me home so I went back in the store and found where they had them. Back to the register different cashier who asks me if I found eveeytever I neexed. I told her I found it on my own cause cashier one said they didn't have it. She immediately defended the other cashier and said well maybe she's tired casuse we are busy. It wasn't busy either time I went up to the register and then I ran my card and it asked a question and the girl just reached over and pushed the button for me. She then shoved my receipt in my bag, glared at me and shoved my bags towards me. She didn't say thank you or anything. I know they are probably Highschool students but no excuse for being an...

It's okay, though I often find it only has the most stereotypical and shallow things for men; and rarely are there mens shoes. Though I do love to find good ties here. There are often great candles for great prices. Would be grand if I could find a way to not be hassled about their special TJ rewards cards or credit cards or whatever. Wish there was some way to opt out of that. I'm there on a weekly basis, and my answer isn't going to change. Also, I've been finding that they've been increasingly featuring off-brand, generic, and knock-off goods, at actually massive markup, not the bargain prices they claim. The headphones, and phone cases are cheap Chinese crap, few real brand name goods, or fashionable goods. Which makes the whole marketing of TJMaxx a feel like a bit of a lie. One time I even found the same soap pump I had purchased at DollarTree just a few months prior. They had marked this one $7 compare at $12, even though I knew I could go next door and get that exact soap pump for $1. I don't like being lied to and conned into...

The staff was not very helpful. I bought an outfit that ended up being too big for me but by the time I took it back to exchange it I lost the receipt. The girl told me they couldn't exchange it unless I went thru the store and found a similar outfit by the same brand. So my friend and I searched the entire store for one, I asked three employees where they think that kind of outfit might be and none of them would help us look around. The brand was Jessica Simpson so I googled the stores website and they didn't carryJessica Simpsons clothing line, they said they sometimes temporarily sell certain brands in store. It would've been nice to know that when I bought it or at least before I spent an hour looking thru there...
