Tonight, i placed an order for pickup. After waiting over 30 minutes and seeing multiple people come and go with their orders, I went up to the kitchen staff and simply explained that I have been waiting for half an hour and just wanted to know what the issue was. I was not aggressive in my tone, it was more of a confused, what’s going on tone. I was immediately met with extreme aggression by the staff member. At one point a staff member even stepped at me as if they were thinking about throwing a punch. Apparently another customer had been given my order instead of theirs and I was told this was “not our problem” when I asked for clarification of how them handing out my food to the wrong person wasn’t their problem (if they would’ve set it out, i would’ve grabbed it since i had been waiting for 30 minutes and was on high alert, so i know it was never placed at the pickup station, it was hand given by a staff member to the wrong person) i was met with even more attitude. When I asked if they would please remake my order, they simply said “k, whatever (scoff)” and once again took almost another 30 minutes to fulfill my order. I’m a patient person. I’ve worked in retail and understand completely how aggravating it can be sometimes. But for me to be met with such aggression FROM THE START when I was simply just inquiring about my food (that i had already paid for) is just completely unacceptable to me. The kicker of it all is now i’m afraid to even eat the food in fear they messed with it somehow. I mean if you’re willing to almost throw a punch at a paying customer, i don’t put anything past you. Read moreTonight I went there for dinner. The food was pretty good but everything was pretty sad. ALL the tables were dirty and I wanted to eat in so I requested a table to be cleaned. The young lady behind the counter came out and "cleaned" one table seemingly not thinking about asking if there was a certain table I wanted. My fiance is kind of a clean freak so she couldn't enjoy her meal at all due to the lack of cleanliness. Also when I say all the tables were dirty I mean every single one. Even the ones that had do not sit signs due to spacing for covid. There were no napkins or straws and I was ignored initially when I was trying to request some but after another customer had a requested something I was then questioned. Other customers came and went with their food complaining about the wait and cleanliness of the restaurant. One man that had waited in line questioned the lady behind the counter as to why the long wait? There was a verbal altercation where in the end the lady at the register flipped the customer off. While another worker was more concerned about getting his friends free food. I understand being busy and being frustrated but there was a serious lack of management and caring tonight. The lady taking the order not only couldn't hear what I was saying, but didn't comprehend it (due to how loud the place is inside, as well as the mask I'm sure). Then we didn't get all of what was ordered. The cashier couldn't hear us, so I finally just said nevermind.
We immediately sat down to eat, and the chicken in my bowl was cold. I had someone try it bc it was so cold I thought I was losing my mind. The line was still to the door, so I couldn't go back up to get it corrected without breaking the Corona stipulations.
There was no hand sanitizer in the only station as you enter the store, and the bathroom didn't have any either. I don't typically choose Chipotle, and now I know why.
Unsure why there were so many issues, bc there were at least 7/8 employees present up front.
Extremely disappointed! I've truly never experienced most of this here, except the noise, so maybe just a fluke, but after all 3 of us having upset stomachs... needless to say we won't be back...
