GREAT place to find a bit of everything! Video Games, Movies, Music and others!! Sweet selection of comic books old and new! Definite stop if you are looking for hard to find variants. AND THEY HAVE A HUGE BIN OF DOLLAR COMICS!!
The employees are hard working and super nice. Willing to go above and beyond to find a product, new or old. They can order from other Vintage Stock stores or order a new copy from a vendor. I have never had an issue returning a product that didnt work. With the recipt. For another product, store credit or, if neither was an option, cash back.
I have seen people get upset about the return policy. Look, read your slips. The policies are there. Stores like these have to have them so they can stay in business. Too many people like to complain but dont understand.
I saw a guy get upset that the employee offered him 2 dollars for his stack of about 10 cds and 5 dusty dvds. Yes, they were very dirty lol The employee told him that the cds were not rare and easily found. And the publisher probly made a ton of them. So they dont fetch much. The same for the dvds. The guy cursed him out and walked out with his stuff.
lmao Look, dont take stuff into a buy, sell, trade place expecting to get rich. Know that these places will offer a fraction of what they sell it for. I have gotten high amounts for items i bring in. But i know that they look them up on ebay and try to make it fair for the company and the seller. If they sell something for 14.99, you will probably get 2-4 bucks for it. Thats how any place is. They have to make a profit to stay open. That also keeps the selling prices down. If they offer more in cash, then the prices go up. And people wouldn't like that lol
Before you complain, do research. Other than that, its a wonderful place to find just...
Read moreYou lost a customer for life tonight. I have spent several thousand dollars over the years, especially the last 2 years and I assure you I will never spend another penny in your store. This may seem minor but the way I was treated made me feel as if your employee thought I was trying to do something wrong or trying to take advantage of a situation or something. It was very uncomfortable. We just spent $100 on an old school Nintendo system and my daughter saw a Pokémon ball she wanted and it didn’t have a price tag on it, I immediately asked a manager how much it would cost and she said $5.99 to $7.99 and then when we got to the counter another experienced employee said $4.99 to $5.99. This new employee we were dealing with that had already shown how clueless he was earlier kept looking up stuff on the computer which took about 10 to 12 minutes and then came back with a price of $14.99 because obviously he thought I was trying to get over or something. I’m sorry but a manager and another experienced employee would not be that far off of the price. This review is based 100% on principle and the way this new employee was acting towards me. I am a very successful business owner and if I EVER saw one of my employees treat a customer in a smug way like the way I was treated tonight I would fire them on the spot. No questions asked, I have zero tolerance for that type of service towards a customer. I am going to gather up receipts over the last 2 years ($4000 to $4500 maybe more) and send them to your corporate office. I want them to see how your Topeka staff treats...
Read moreI go to Vintage Stock on occasion. I went this time looking for Vinyl records. Their collection is very small and very odd. Random cast-offs from the 80s and 90s. No big names I recognized. I picked up a classical music record for 50 cents. That was okay. There was no grading system utilized on the vinyl as is standard in record stores. (Ex. Near Mint = NM / Near Mint Minus = NM- (record minor flaws, art great condition) / VG+ (art shows some wear/ record may have surface scratch) / VG - (art prettyworn, record may have multiple surface scratches) - Anyway, you get my point. They had a Violent Femmes USED record priced at 14 bucks. It wasn't even graded and had surface scratches. Art was worn and would've been priced at $5.00 tops in most record stores in G condition. ($3.00 - 8.00 depending on if your in KC or Lawrence.) Also, new re-issues of that record are $20. So, LOL to that. I can get it on colored vinyl 180 gram for $23. I asked the girl if she would price match on two NEW records with Amazon. She didn't seem happy with me and said no and referred me to a manager who was talking to some kid about Magic The Gathering Decks. He wouldn't even make eye-contact. I mean, it's no wonder some places close on Wanamaker with...
