I have never had a negative experience shopping here until today. I go right after 7 because I cannot be around a lot of people. I have to use the self-checkout because of severe anxiety. Yes, I have more than 10 items all the time but I make sure that there is no one waiting for me so I'm not inconveniencing anyone else. Also, this is the 1st time I've seen an item count so there's that. They hired someone new that stared at me the entire time like I was going to steal. As I'm ringing out ALL OF MY ITEMS, she approaches me to scold me about the 10 items or less "rule". I said "I see that but I'm the only one in self-checkout and I can't use cashiers". She continued to berate me for not following the rule and getting close to me. I repeatedly stated I was not doing anything wrong, and to stop getting close to me. She continued to tell me that I was being rude for not following rules and not to raise my voice as I repeatedly told her to let me finish cashing out because I have severe anxiety. At this point, I have anxiety tremors and keep scanning my things. She kept making snide comments that "oh you want to act this way because I'm calling you out." Is this what customer service is? To berate someone for having a mental health issue? I explained why I couldn't use the register and again there was no one else in self checkout, so I wasn't holding anyone else up. I hate thinking the color of my skin has anything to do with it BUT, I am tan, she is not. And a non-tan gentleman wanted to rebag his ENTIRE CART with double paper bags and she said "yes that's fine". So it's okay for him bag an entire cart, but I can't bag my small basket because it's more than 10 items? Please do better Target. This should not have happened, and if I express my reasoning as to why I'm using a self checkout, and if I'm not holding anyone else up, there should not be an issue. Everyone needs to be made aware of this woman and be mindful if you are the wrong color, you might be...
Read moreThe target on the boulevard is a nightmare in most cases. I tend to only go there as a last resort or in an emergency. Since it is by a college and close to Canada it tends to be busy all the time. The parking lot is scary and you need to be extra careful as cars are always flying through it or not looking when backing up. The store itself tends to always be a mess, mainly because of how busy it is. This also means shelves tend to be empty or low on options. I used to love target and this store specifically, but in the last 10 years its really gone downhill. The first big hit was when they got rid of their little café I used to love having that. Then the selection of items got reduced so I was no longer able to get the same offerings and now i have to find those things online (this is honestly an issue with all big box retailers nowadays). Overall target is fine. The best thing going for it is that they have decent prices, a range of types of items (food, clothing, kitchen related, electronics, and so on) and it's conveniently located. Also the staff has never really been an issue. It can be hard to find staff on the floor but when you do they tend to be nice. My cashier today was great I'd give her a shout out but her name isn't on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely horrible! Avoid this Target at all costs and go to other Target locations or even Walmart. I have my baby registry through Target and went to go pick up my registry bag. The front was disgusting with garbage all over the floor, there were no carts inside. I waited over 20 minutes in the guest services line with only 3 other people in front of me. There was 1 employee working guest services and a team lead, the employee let the team lead know that she needed help because the line was getting longer. Team lead called out for other employees to help then walked away, not help out to try and clear up the line. After waiting the 20 + minutes it was my turn, I let the employee know what I was there for she looked at me and didn't understand what I was talking about. Another employee that walked by she asked him about registry bags and he was rude quickly answered "no we don't have those." It would have been very helpful to if there was notification on the app on which location had registry bags. I understand guest services isn't an easy job, but don't take out your frustration on others who did nothing wrong. This gave me a horrible view on Target and how they view customers. This is now making me close my registry and...
