Honestly I would say that shopping here for the most part is good. I haven't had any issues per say however the customer service I received today( August 15 2022) was something else. Now I had enjoyed my day out with my mother here and we were up to cash out. We went to mind you register 10 at around I would say 1- 1:20 pm. This woman at the register taking care of us started from the moment we got there being rude. My mother politely stated that she in fact had a return to make to which the woman said take it out the bag then in a harsh way in which my mom was taken aback but she in fact did as the woman said and took the return items out the bag with the receipt. Not once did I nor my mother said anything rude to this woman to begin her harsh treatment towards us. This cashier proceeded to do the return and rudely handed the money back at my mother already annoyed to do the return. We proceed to then place my mother's items to scan on the cash register as we were paying separately. When my mother hands the woman her cash to pay she accidentally gave her a Canadian penny as we had recently been to Canada in that month. This accident was done by a simple mistake and not in purpose as my mother had not noticed it. This woman proceeds to then tell my mother in quite a loud voice "This is a Canadian penny. It doesn't count" and proceeds to repeat it 3 times maybe while she also physically threw it down at my mother. This incident can be most likely seen on camera if it is checked for as well to show that this is not a lie nor exaggeration of what occurred. My mother quietly says nothing and lets the penny simple roll off the counter since the lady had thrown it at her and gives the lady a correct US penny. My mom never once picked it up or anything as she felt humiliated by the actions of the cashier. Finishing the transaction the lady harshly asks my mother to choose print or email for the copy. Following her she then stares at me and goes "Is that all or what? Anything else" looking at the cart with items still. I simply look at her and go " Yes I am paying separately". At this point I am mad of how this woman has treated my mother and I place all my items down without saying a word to her. She simply scans them and then proceeds to double scan an item and when she notices she simply says " oh its fine its not double charged" however when i see the receipt at the end it was in fact double charged and she had not removed it until I let her know after. The issue is that I myself work in customer service. I understand you may be tired or annoyed after a long shift at work. However I don't believe it excuses you to treat a customer with such disrespect when they have not been rude to you or said anything back about the obvious terrible behavior. Especially throwing money at the customer. That is beyond terrible to do. My mother attempted to pay with the correct currency and it was not like she wanted to pay incorrectly on purpose yet you decide to take your anger out on her. Honestly shame on you and if you truly are having a bad day, next time call off work so at least some people don't have to put up with being humiliated during their shopping especially when it had been such a wonderful experience up until we had to cash out. If I had the cashier's name I would state it unfortunately I don't but I do remember it was register 10 at around 1:20 or 1 pm if that helps pin point her down. Both transactions were over $100 and there was a return made before the two transactions and then a return after as well. The employee should be at least told something for their horrible actions. I can only imagine what other early customers had to deal with with her. Shame on...
Read moreI've been going to this store since they opened. I was like 17 and now I'm in my fifties. I've seen so many changes to the store and it's staffing. One thing that's always stayed the same is the store policy which is 30 days with receipt money back which I've always appreciated. One time I did get a clerk by the name of t Diane I did complain about because she gave me a hard time about returning shampoo even though I had my receipt. She said it was used. YES your right I said I'm returning it because it makes my hair flat. How am I supposed to know that unless I test the product on my hair. So I had to call the Manager, which by the way no one should ever have to do. Anyhow, now this particular TJ Maxx has a line called RUNWAY. owww, A bit pricey but really nothing that the average customer wouldn't expect from this store. So maybe someone can explain to me why if I buy one of these garments I'm supposed to leave the Red Sensor on it with the tag while testing the garment for comfortability. Clothes roll, go sideways, creep, are scratchy, come unbuttoned, this list can go on & on. But this stores policy just for these clothes but not the others is if you buy this garment from Runway the sensor stays on. Oh ok I guess I am supposed to go to lunch wearing my new summer top with the "Red" Sensor and bright purple Price tag mind you hanging from the side of the garment in front of the entire public? Is this store for real?? What nerve. How is that proper customer satisfaction for one? Secondly doesn't that expel the policy. So if I remove the sensor but have my tag and receipt they will NOT take the item back. Ridiculous. You would have to be a complete fool to accept that. Thank God for Nordstroms which by the way folks has excellent customer service and excellent prices and excellent management and they have the same policy without embarrassing their customers with...
Read moreI was outside and found an envelope with a check in it. Upon taking it in the store in an attempt to find the owner I was met with such blatant racism it was palpable. I unfortunately mistook Maria/Marie A. for a person who was able to help and instead she was an utter and complete nightmare. I asked her to page the person who's name was on the envelope and when I informed her there was a check in it she could barely contain herself to make sure she got it out of my hand. I told her if the person wasn't there I'd take it to the address it was being sent to as I lived nearby. As soon as she got her hands on it she said to me it would be "locked up." She of course had no answer when I asked how would the person know it was there, her mission was to just get that check from me. I subsequently called the clerks office where the check was being sent and told them what happened and asked if they could reach out to the person. When I informed Maria/Marie A. she advised SHE was going to take it to the post office to mail it!!!?? Which begged the question what was the difference between me taking it and her? She said it would be "locked up" and that's the information I passed on to insure the check would be returned to the owner now suddenly SHE was going to mail it. The only reason Maria/Marie A. had that attitude was because I am BLACK. What she didn't know or care about is that I'm a veteran...a decorated veteran at that. Moreover if I had any malicious or deceitful intent I would have taken that check and not tried to return it to the rightful owner. Maria/Marie A. should NOT be allowed to work with the public in any capacity. I will be telling this publicly, on any social media platform and...
