Avoid this place if you can. The technician at CPR Cell Phone Repair Amityville damaged my iPhone X beyond repair when I brought it in to replace a broken screen and charged me more for the service than what the Apple Store would have charged. Instead of spending a few hundred dollars on a fix, it will now cost over $1000 to replace a broken phone. On Saturday, March 16th, I went into the store around 12:30 PM with my phone. The clerk informed me that the store had the correct component that could be used to repair my phone. He initially quoted me $350 as the price and brought it down to $300. When I got the phone back that afternoon, there were a number of issues, including: -Non-functional Face ID -Diminished screen sensitivity -Inaccurate GPS -Lag in functionality (e.g. takes more time to open/close apps) -Sticky keys (would have to push certain letters multiple times for it to appear) I had to bring the phone back to CPR the same day, about 30 minutes before closing. The clerk took the phone back, re-opened the phone and concluded that there was a smudge on the internal lens which was slowing down Face ID. He said he wiped it, which did temporarily fix the Face ID issue but none of the other problems. On Thursday, March 21, I took my iPhone X to the Apple Store in New York on Fifth Avenue for a diagnostic test. The technician at the Apple Store said that the logic board on my phone had been fried during the repair, which meant that the phone was beyond repair. The only solution would be to replace the iPhone X for $549 + tax. I'll note that the same broken screen repair at the Apple store would have cost around $280. I am incredibly disappointed with the shoddy service at this phone repair store and the price gauging that occurred, particularly since the technician there clearly did not have the expertise needed to fix this type of phone. Avoid this place if you can and spend your money elsewhere or you might end up having to spend 3x as much as you had budgeted. Photos: Receipt from CPR; diagnostic summary from Apple Store [Also posted on Yelp] **3/26/19 Update in response to CPR comment** Appreciate the response, but no additional issues or fixes related to such issues were communicated to me when I picked up my phone nor when I had to stop in again later the same day. Moreover, if any additional problems were discovered in the course of the original repair, your technician should have communicated that to me before beginning any repairs that I hadn’t agreed to. In any case, the sum of repairs (all of the ones that you claim were made) resulted in the logic board in my phone being fried and many essential functions of my phone being no longer usable. I have initiated a dispute through my credit card company for a refund for services since the repair service I requested from your shop was not actually performed. It is unethical to charge any amount, let alone $300, for services that were not rendered, not to mention the additional damage that was done.

I am a tad stupid and I broke something in my headphone jack and tried many YouTube tutorials to get it out.. let's just say the lead to me making it worse with a crazy glue mess... The person who helped me was Nik and he was so extremely nice. He was very polite and well spoken and he had my phone fixed and ready to go in under 40 min. He's totally awesome and the place is really nice! Very clean, neat, and organized. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely check them out! 10/10

Nick and his team are amazing. Not only are they quick to respond to any requests, they are through and knowledgeable. I greatly prefer their service over the support of many manufacturers. I can only recommend them to anyone. Come here and they will be able to help you at a great price!

Let me elucidate why I believe this particular store in Amityville deserves nothing but a 5 Star Review... So here's the story....this last SUNDAY, my work Ipad's screen was unexpectedly cracked and therefore I had to get it repaired THAT SAME DAY because on Monday I needed the very same Ipad because it contained Sensitive information and documents pertaining to a casefile that was scheduled to be viewed by an govt official, THUS VIEWED ON THE SAME IPAD! So at around 1:30pm i first went to a UBREAKIFIX store on 110. Some kid that worked there was so inexperienced that AFTER LITERALLY WASTING OVER 45 MINUTES he informed that they actually DID NOT Have the replacement screen and that I had to leave the device there in order to have it fixed! So then I went to ANOTHER store on route 110 and EXPERIENCED THE SAME ISSUE- That they won't be able to replace it until Tuesday MORNING! So at this point I checked Google to see if any other repair stores were open as it was now close to 330pm...I saw that Cell Phone Repair Amityville was open until 5pm on Sundays and I read nothing but glowing reviews of this particular store so I called first and once they said they had the digitizer screen part IN STOCK at the store I immediately drove down 110 to Merrick Rd....and as I got there I informed them that the repair to be done today is of the utmost importance to me and before me even getting into the reasons for why I needed the ipad screen fixed right then and there- the technician simply said -"Hey don't worry it will be done today - you have just to come back right before 5pm when we close"- I WAS SO RELIEVED!! I mean I went to 3 other stores and they ALL were emitting an attitude as if they were either were too lazy or didn't want to be bothered with such a task since it was Sunday!!! Oh and by the way- The final cost was 1/3rd less than what UBREAKIFIX quoted me! These guys and THIS STORE IN PARTICULAR in Amityville is without a doubt the most professional store I have dealt with regarding fixing my smartphones and is the ONLY STORE I will go to from now on when I need my smartphone or even laptop or ipad to be fixed for ANY REASON! Love this store for LOOKING OUT for me this...

Came here for the first time back in February to get the LCD fixed on my S4 on a Sunday. I called them and not only did they offer competitive price, they were able to do it in an hour or two because they already had the part in store. I dealt with Thaddeus when I arrived. The guy could not have been more helpful. Looked at my phone, confirmed what we discussed on the phone and replaced my screen with no issues.

Fast forward a few months to yesterday. I recently have been having issues with my 4G signal on my phone. Can't make/receive calls without issues, texts sometimes don't send properly, etc. I've been to Verizon to see if it's a software issue but the people they employ aren't the sharpest tools in the shed. I did a hard reset on my phone and still had issues. As a last resort I decided to go back to CPR to see if they could diagnose the issue. I went on a Sunday so I dealt with Thaddeus again. Told him the back story and that I just wanted him to open the phone and see if anything looked out of place. In less than 5 minutes he was able to see that the 4G antenna cable had exposed wire where some of the insulation had come off. He told me he could fix it but did not know where the part was at the moment and that I could come back during the week. Did not promise me any special prices, but was honest and said I'm not sure I'll have to find out. Dude is the man. Knows what he is doing, is honest, and doesn't promise you the sky like other repair shops.

Use this place, and ask...
