Update: This place was just redone and they did a great job! Pulling up this place is easy to find and so is the parking. You go inside and the flow is perfect too! The staff are always smiling and happy to help. The food and drinks are perfect too. This place is the best Sunday brunch spot for sure!
So I had to take away a star because this place is a two hour wait on a Sunday. They tell you check in at a certain time if your on the wait list. So you wait an hour try to find parking...good luck their is non the parking lot is full. So you wait for a spot to open up and you finally get inside the place. Boom, another hour wait past the first hour but your willing to wait...why you may ask? The servers are friendly and the food is amazing! Your settled in with your great coffee or tea starting to get happy...your food comes out you start to eat it. That’s when you are like I’d do this again it’s worth the wait!
There is a line for coffee and food take out straight ahead when you walk in if you don’t want to wait to sit and eat. That’s also where the host will be to check you in and text you when your table is ready if you want to wait in your car. To the left is the dining room. To the rear is the kitchen and bathroom.
Update: The most recent visit proved not so great. After a last minute decision to eat here. Joined the waitlist and of course had to wait even more in our vehicle then in the Brunch Spot.
I cannot tell you enough about how the wait is becoming not worth it. Yeah the food is good like the French toast bites with the bananas and strawberries. As well as the egg white feta wraps. Even the eggs with the hollandaise.
Last visit I got a for with someone else’s salad still on it. Had to ask for a new fork no big deal but how do you not notice putting silverware out with bright green lettuce stuck to it.
Also I ordered the seasonal ginger bread drink and it was so artificial tasting. I told the girl and she never took it off the table and left it on the check. Talk about waitress 100 here.
Going to have to take another star off but really should be taking off two for poor wait times and poor customer service/experience. The problem is that a small part of me still wants to come back because of the interior decor and...
Read moreJune,10, 2019 11,AM My daughter already wrote a review but now its my turn. I had to go for a medical procedure. I was not allowed to eat for 24 hours. But as a treat I told my daughter that i wanted to go to Brownstones for breakfast afterwards. So I ordered the Hungryman's Breakfast. When the meal came I opened the little butter packet and unbeknownst to me the butter was totally melted. The other 2 were the same. So when I opened it, it went all over my shirt. I told the waitress and she got the manager to come over. The manager brings a glass of seltzer and a dirty rag. It's not a little spot. It's all over my shirt. So I told her it would not help. She saids so what would you like me to do? I said to her that I believe are you allowed to put butter next to something that's hot? Most restaurants put the butter in a separate dish. She catches an attitude with me saids why not?! People melt butter all the time. (I have to check with the Dept of Health or the Better Business Bureau and see because the butter can go bad and melt.) She walks away. Then she gives me my ice tea as a courtesy. I'm not asking for any free stuff. But she should have been treated this differently. She should have said get the shirt cleaned and send me the bill and not give me an attitude. Now I'm not sure when I will return. There are too many restaurants that come and go so of you want your restaurant to be around for a long tome customer service should be top priority.
Our waitress was great and so...
Read moreI've visited Brownstones three or four times now, and I've also gotten takeout twice. I love trying new things, but I've only ever ordered one item each time I've visited. I plan to diversify my orders on future visits, but I have to rave about their French toast bites. They're not your typical diner fare - the consistency is perfect, and they're fried to perfection with great dough. I always add extra fruit and a side of caramel dipping sauce along with the maple syrup. It might not be the healthiest choice, but it definitely hits the spot.
I'm excited to try more of their menu items because I know I need to move beyond this fixation at some point!! :P
I do have some issues with the seating, though. I prefer being seated outside because the inside can be chaotic and very overstimulating. That's the only downside for me. Additionally, it can take a long time to be seated, which is understandable given how busy the place is. However, if you're someone who gets easily overstimulated, I recommend opting for outdoor seating when it's available.
The takeout is okay, but the quality doesn't quite match up to dining in. I would always recommend eating at the restaurant for the best experience.
The staff are kind and accommodating, and I've never felt rushed or ignored. They are attentive and do...
