FURIOUS! I am a huge blogger and I review everything. This is probably the worst review because I mainly give great reviews. In today's world where all the retail stores are "GOING OUT OF BUSINESS," the only thing that will keep you alive is customer service. I had to go to a party and only had a few minutes to make a stop at Estelles. Ive been going here for years to buy dresses. Ive never taken things home unless I was sure but I didnt have the time to spend figuring it out. I spent 300.00 (2 were very expensive blouses)- at the register, the cashier was very clear to tell me that one itme was FINAL SALE, and that the other two i had 5 days to return. I asked her questions about it because I knew I may be back to return. I came home and after trying them on - they didnt fit right. The jacket part was nice but the shirt that goes inside fit wide and large -even though it said medium. the other shirt made me look fat so i kept the "final sale" dress that fit me nicely. The very next morning I went to return my two blouses. They got a manager because apparrently if the tag falls off -you can NOT return it. She said they check all the tags on the shirt and they have special ways they put it on the shirt so it cant come off. Seriously? The tagshowed no signs of cutting. It just fell off and was still in tact. She refused to refund me this 109.00 shirt! I was furious. She kept telling me about the 3 paragraphs at the bottom of the receipt which are tiny and standing in a log line with holidayrush behind me- i doubt any customer would even be able to stand there reading it. PLUS i need reading glasses-so even if i was crazy enough to do it- Icouldnt read it without glasses. I did see the HUGE RED FINAL SALE for the dress. Makes me feel like they are trying to deceive me. This is not a "normal "policy for any other clothing store i could have chosen.!!!!! So i waited for a refund on my other shirt.- the cashier starts to hand me a store credit. I almost blew up as I really felt like these people are testing my intelligence. I asked for a Manager. Again, ERIKA, came to the register to advise me that theyhave a NO REFUND policy. YET i asked her to read the receipt after her other employee read it. They just stared at it for a long time. PROVING to me that it takes a very long time to read it- and then that it DOESNT say NO REFUNDS on the receipt. Being a business owner for MANY years , I know that it is the law to write in LARGE LETTERS that you have a no refund policy and if you have any OUT OF NORM policies, that customer would not be aware of. Then she dares to tell me that the lady that rang me up "the day before" told me all these policies. Not only do I remember word for word what she told me - but as I argues with them for a long time.... I watched other sales ladies ring people up - and NO ONE said all those things during their sale. OF COURSE NOT. If people knew there were NO REFUNDS , they would not take most things home. After a lot of spewing information and me refusing to leave ...i did get a credit back to my credit card.....for one. But i had to walk out of the door with the $109.00 shirt. Yes, they have nice dresses but that doesnt give you the power to have DECEPTIVE practices, lie, and hide information from people. I WILL NEVER BE BACK TO ESTELLES AGAIN. At least 3 of their employees told me they are sorry but they just work there and they didnt make that rule. I feel bad for the employees and even the Manager- because she had a look on her face like she truly didnt feel right about it either... THIS STORE DOESNT CARE about you unless you buy their things. Once you try to get a refund or if your tag falls off- youre their enemy. They DO NOT deserve our business. BBB has them at a D- ..maybe my review will take...

The customer service department is for the pits, they are rude and nasty!
I took my daughter here for her prom dress a few weeks ago. We found a pretty dress that she loved after trying dresses on in a pact fitting room for about an hour. They didn't have her size in the dress and the woman said they could order it.
About a week later, the dress came in, it looked dirty and it clearly was NOT new and had beads and stitching loose all over most of it. We still wanted that dress and couldn't find it online anywhere to order it so we had to take that one. Estelle's said they could repair the dress and steam clean it there at the facility. We left the dress with them yet another week.
We got a call a week and a half later that the dress was in. We went to pick it up and the dress looked repaired so we paid for it in full. The woman then went to steam clean it before we left with it, about 20 minutes later she comes out with the dress and says it had a red stain on it and she didn't know how it got there (It certainly wasn't there when we gave it to her to clean). She said she didn't know where it came from (of course she did) and she said she could order a new dress because they wouldn't be able to get the stain out. So.... she ordered a new one.
We went to pick it up tonight, another week later. The dress actually looked new this time but there were a few beads loose, some falling off and some missing STILL that needed to be repaired. For $200 I wasn't walking out the door until the dress was right I am sure anyone in my position would have done the same thing. I politely took the dress to customer service and let me just say, Sorita and Erica had such an attitude from the start. They really have no clue what customer service truly is about. It is my belief that they really don't care either.. Its amazing to me that more people just don't walk right out of there.
I explained to Erica what my problem was, when she came off with an attitude I asked to speak with a manager or someone else. .Then came in Sorita, she looked at me like I was ridiculous wanting the dress repaired. After all, this was a new DRESS we were talking about, there should be no repairs needed!!
All I got from Sorita was an attitude, she didnt want to repair the dress or help in any way, listening was definitely not on her agenda even though she said she was the manager. I got a scowl from Eric also and dirty looks.
So now, I left the "NEW" dress yet again to get the beads fixed. This has been the most frustrating process.
I asked the Sorita also if she would bring home a product that she wasn't satisfied with and that had beads falling off it all over the place after having paid $200 for it. She looked at me like I was making such a big deal about it, which I wasn't. She eluded to the fact that she would just take the dress with the beads falling off and what not!! NO THANK YOU, I work hard for my money and where IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE! To be honest I felt like she could care less. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE AGAIN.
I plan on calling the manager tomorrow and hopefully speak with someone competent that can solve a simple problem!

We purchased the dress and left it with the seamstress who is is a vendor @ Estelle's but not own by Estelle's dressy dresses. To make a long story short the $600+ dollars dress was giving to.them for 3 weeks, my family & I was giving a date to pick up the dress, arrived @ the store NO alterations was completed, owner was very nonchalant, disrespectful, offered no solution and was completely RUDE! He stated "I don't care if you give me a bad review on SM or any other media outlets." I knew it would not be in my advantages to get angry in front of.my children or give this arrogant man satisfactions, so I ask to.speak with a Manager from Estelle's her Name is Linda. Her & I met express my disappointment with the vendor @ Estelle's and that I was not happy with the services and felt that the vendor represent Estelle's since he was @ the store, serving Estelle's customers. Linda the manager took action immediately,.met with the vendor(seamstress) request the dress and completed the alternation at no charge. I was very impressed with the level of professionalism, concern and patience Linda and her staff had. She was genuinely disappointed by the vendors actions and attitude.
With all that said, the dress was ready within 45 minutes, Estelle's the company does not do.alterations, this is why they have a vendor on the premises to serve customers for a.seperate fee, giving, this was a.special circumstance, Estelle the owner & her management team made this happen to insure that it was done & that I was happy.
To conclude, since I reside two hours away, I had no choice but to.leave the dress, went back to pick up the dress, and the dress.was perfect, again amazing team & staff!!
One my way out Linda said " Estelle the owner is here do you want to say Hello' " I said sure" met with Estelle thanked her for the alteration and we proceeded to talk about the party and I mentioned that I had an Orphanage in Haiti, within a second she called Linda and said " we had a box of shoes & bags where are they?.Lovely if you don't mind we would love to donate them to the Love & Hope Organization for the Orphanage. I was flabagastated, shock and thankful. Besides having the alteration done for free & fast, I received beautiful, shoes, bags and jewerly for the house of.Love & Hope Orphanage located in Croix Des Bouquest Haiti. Pardon the long review but we must acknowledge companies who strive& aim to.always please customers.
