Rock the Treatment — Local services in Town of Babylon

As a recently diagnosed breast cancer patient, my treatment and surgical research began which included, necessities and preparations for what was to come. I wanted to be as well prepared as possible to ease and aid recovery. In addition, as I would be traveling from Northern Nevada to MDAnderson Cancer Center in Houston Texas for my procedures and treatment, it was vital that I had what I could, in hand before arrival. With the likelihood of post mastectomy / lumpectomy drains etc for a period of time and staying in a hotel near the hospital, I will be anxious to “comfortably” fly back home as soon as possible. I was able to have a wonderful conversation with owner Stacy Berk who offered numerous suggestions (ie ask flight attendants on the longer routes to cool or freeze extra ice packs to switch out) and insights as well as needed and deeply appreciated moral support. To start, I purchased the RTT Breast Cancer Mastectomy Pillow with ice packs. It arrived quickly and will no doubt aid with the initial post surgery discomforts and help protect my suture areas when in a car wearing seat belts or in flight. It will also help “cover” any loosely fitting clothing to accommodate dressings or drains if out in public. I won’t be carrying a strapped purse etc either so the extra pockets for my phone, glasses, and billfold are ideal. time before being able to fly back home. I will learn more next week as to any needed radiation and / chemo followup. If so, I will no doubt be calling Stacy at “Rock the Treatment” for more skin care or other specific products to help get me through! No matter what, I now have a connection and place to go for gifting others living with and surviving cancers with special care products! We all need that “Lift me up Spirit” right??? Oh my goodness! Words cannot express how grateful I am to have found this company and this particular basket! My sister-in-law, who has Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD) and has to undergo chemotherapy treatments regularly, was obsessed over THE BOX it all came in (rainbow stripes)! She absolutely loved it!!! She kept saying "No way!" :-) Then, when she opened it all and saw how many wonderful, usable items were in there (she has MANY allergies and cannot use or eat most things), she was absolutely floored! Because of the ingredient lists being very simple and/or organic, she was able to use almost ALL of the items. The few others she simply shared with her neighbors who help her. It was a win-win! She was obsessed with the neck pillow and said it smelled AMAZING! That is really saying something, because she is one who cannot have flowers or scented things around her because of her allergies. Whatever was in that pillow definitely agreed with her system. She brought many of the items to the hospital with her for use during and immediately after her treatment (neck pillow, queasy drops, peppermint tea, etc.). She doesn't usually drink tea because of "other" ingredients, but said this tea is a no brainer, because it is pure peppermint, which was wonderful! She is also not usually into adult coloring books, but said this one is so cute that she is keeping it, saying the pictures are adorable and made her smile. She said that there were so many things in there that she would be able to use them for future treatment days also! WHAT A GREAT VALUE THIS BOX IS!!! I don't often write reviews but in this case I felt it was necessary. I placed an order for someone who needed I smile. I found this company because I was googling gifts for people with cancer. I placed my order and immediately received a response saying that my order was placed and it would be delivered in the next couple of days. I was so surprised at the quick response and it wasn't one of those automated emails that my order has been placed, a person actually sent the email. A couple of weeks later I saw the person that the gift was sent to, I had never heard from her. I asked her if she received the gift and she said yes but she didn't know who it was from because there was no note. She gushed over how much she loved the ROCK THE TREATMENT box. I don't know if she just didn't see the note or if it wasn't there. So now this is two months later and I sent an email to the company explaining what the recipient told me. Again, immediately I received a response. Stacey told me how sorry she was and how thankful she was that I was telling her about this because she always wants the best for the recipients and the purchaser. She offered to send something to the recipient, the original note and an apology. So like I said I don't often write reviews but when you find a company and people who are so attentive and personable and care so much about their product a review is absolutely necessary.
