Inconvient. I try and shop local but return policies at these small business shops are hard to work with. I bought a sweater in January, which I understand was awhile ago, but I only wore the sweater this past week for the first time. I followed the washing instructions and I didnât put it in the dryer. I hung it up, and itâs destroyed. The seam is unraveling, I canât even sew or wear it. I go to the store and the sales lady says,âI donât know what the owner would do, come back tomorrowâ ( a little odd that she couldnât make a decision) âsheâll be here.â I went back the next day, the ownerâs not there but a very sweet sales girl was, but she ended up having to call the owner. The Owner says they canât do anything because itâs been over seven days... I had the receipt! What if I had bought a summery top in the winter? I wouldnât have worn it in seven days... Frustrating situation, I had a cute denim jacket in my hand that I wouldâve bought if they had given me some store credit for the damaged sweater. Iâll stick to shopping at Kate & Hale...
   Read moreI felt compelled to reply to the below comment by Chelsea since I was standing in line behind her when she was trying to return the shirt she mentioned. The sales woman was above and beyond kind the entire time. The shirt was Heavily reeking of perfume. So much so that I could smell it a few feet away. And it was far from a âsmudgeâ on the front of the shirt. The entire corner had several large brown stains on it, that clearly could not have been missed upon her purchase of it! In my opinion itâs pretty tasteless to try and return something to a small business boutique and try and make them eat the cost of an item you clearly damaged and possibly wore They were more than kind to you and I clearly remember you saying âitâs okay I understand if I canât return it. Iâll try and wash itâ And then to go on Google and leave a bad review is pretty tasteless I have been shopping at this Boutique for a long time. I have never left a review ever in my life, but I needed to for yesterdays experience. Not once was I asked if I needed help, was given an attitude by whoever was closing last night which seemed to be the only person there, thatâs fine! But attitude?
