Luna Nova — Local services in Town of Brookhaven

I was in the store at the end of July… And purchased some hanging crystal trinkets that cost $20 each…. I bought two of them… And some other items totaling about $50. That was the first day of our vacation and from there we went to other places and didn’t get home for probably 12 days later. When I finally opened the wrapped up packages, I noticed one of the hanging crystal trinkets was missing a whole side. When I called the store, the employer who had inspected and wrapped everything apologized because she should’ve caught that. She called the owner. The owner never called me back…. she had her employer call me Back to handle the issue… Which is unheard of. Most legitimate stores with a legitimate owner handle any problems with their merchandise…. Not make their employer, clean up the mess… Their solution was to mail the product back which now I’m already taking a loss, Instead of sending a prepaid mailer…. And the owner refused any other way or even talking to me on the phone…. Why would I mail anything back?…. They would find a reason to keep the product and I’d be out the product and my money…. Not very happy at all… The owner should be ashamed of herself and your products are junk… That was our first time in Port Jefferson …and it was the First Store we went Into….. I wish I never walked into that store .They do not back up their product and the owner is a bit of a coward hiding behind her employer that had never had any intention of doing the right thing…. Buyer beware…. Better yet ….just avoid the store...

A quaint little shop, nice for collectors and especially those in a more Gothic light. If one is a fan of plants, gems, insects in resin/frames/glass stands, bones (skulls, skeletons), or a little taxidermy, them this is a store for you. They also have a section for writing, if you fancy quill and ink, or want to have a wax seal, and even some books/journals. They have beautiful butterfly and moth displays! My friend had gotten a Fruit Bat Skull while I myself got some Silk...

I always find something I want here, and as a minimalist, take that for what it is. While I find the books overpriced, everything else is actually a good deal, and a very curated collection of oddities but not usually creepy ones (except those scorpions). Always a great selection of essential oils and beautiful little jewelry pieces.
