My now wife and I recently eloped to NYC to get married. Due to the short-notice of our plans, we were initially planning on getting married at the Manhattan City Clerk’s Office. However, after consulting with our photographer Cynthia Chung, we decided we should instead plan on having our ceremony somewhere else like Central Park and we needed to find an officiate. Cynthia gave us a couple of recommendations including Rev. Annie. We checked out her website and decided that we’d like to move forward with her so we reached out via her website contact form. She offers several tiers of ceremony, and we decided that for our intents and purposes we would go with her Simple Ceremony option. She quickly emailed us back and we scheduled a video-call consultation. She was extremely warm, friendly, and helpful! We told her our thoughts and ideas and what type of ceremony we were looking to have. She gave really helpful insight and advice and answered a ton of questions we had, especially regarding the legal aspects of marriage such as how to apply for and receive a marriage license. She gave several good location options and we eventually decided upon either having the ceremony on our hotel suite’s private balcony (if it was large enough) or to have it in Central Park. She even helped us come up with a primary, secondary, and tertiary plan depending on how things ended up playing out such as the location, marriage license, etc. Due to the short-notice, she already had her mid-day timeslot reserved on our wedding day, so we decided upon her morning time slot.
Even choosing the second-to-cheapest offering, Annie sent us a form to fill out to further get an understanding of what we expected from the ceremony. With the Simple Service, however, you aren’t able to review the ceremony text beforehand. This was not an issue for us, and the ceremony was beautiful! On the day of the ceremony, Annie got there early to help walk us through how she was going to do the ceremony and work with me regarding the marriage license. The ceremony was very thoughtful and perfect for my wife and I. We will never forget our special day and the ceremony that Annie conducted for us. We would strongly recommend her to anyone needing a very experienced officiate, especially if you are also...
Read moreI don't know where to begin with this review. First of all, I don't normally write reviews but I want everyone to know and read about Annie. If you're reading these reviews because you are planning a New York wedding and need an officiant then stop right now, look no further - Annie is for you. I promise you from the moment you make contact with Annie you will not regret it. I was planning a New York wedding from Scotland and found it hard to make decisions on vendors without meeting them but as soon as I reached out to Annie I felt like I'd known her for ages, She was very quick at replying to my emails and helpful in answering all my questions. Punctual for our many Skype calls always with a huge smile on her face. We were made to feel like her No 1 client even though she was probably managing lots of other weddings. She would answer my questions before I even asked and any issues I had in my head about the day (what if it rained, where will we go) she made me feel so at ease, always providing me with a solution and I knew I could trust her. She knew how to manage and deal with me, someone organising an overseas wedding, so well and I can't thank her enough. Annie is without a doubt professional, kind, caring and I promise you, not only will she make you smile and make you feel relax throughout the whole process, but all your guests too will smile and love her. Every single guest at my wedding complimented Annie - she has the most lovely nature and it reflects onto you. She came to our hotel the morning before our wedding to go over everything, which was the first time we met and she was such a joy with us. We can't thank Annie enough, from the bottom of our hearts for making our ceremony one we will never forget. It's nice to know that whenever we're in New York we now have a friend to look up. I can't stress enough - Annie is the best and a true,...
Read moreWe had the immense pleasure of having Rev. Annie, a long-standing friend of ours, as our wedding officiant, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the exceptional experience she provided. As soon as we relayed our plan to have a fairly quick elopement, Annie went above and beyond, walking us through a variety of scenarios, and working to understand our vision in order to create a ceremony that truly reflected our unique love story.
On our wedding day, Annie crafted a magical atmosphere in our intimate setting. With her knowledge and experience, she helped us address even the tiniest of details, making our ceremony feel both personal and enchanting. Her warm, genuine and grounded presence set the perfect tone, calming any “wedding jitters” and making everyone feel welcome and involved.
As longtime friends, we felt honoured to experience Annie’s expertise as a wedding officiant finally applied to us! We were blown away by her ability to put into words such a deeply personal, unforgettable ceremony. It was truly just for us and we wouldn’t have changed a thing. Annie has a remarkable ability to blend professionalism with heartfelt emotion, and her extensive experience was evident in every moment: spoken or unspoken. Our friends and family were equally impressed, and all commented on how beautiful and touching the ceremony was.
We wholeheartedly recommend Rev. Annie to anyone looking for an officiant to create an unforgettable, warm and loving experience. Thank you, Annie, for making our wedding day everything we dreamed it could be and...
