Sound Beach Music — Local services in Town of Brookhaven

The WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I called Sand Beach music in May of this year to try to return my daughter’s viola early. I was told no as that isn’t on the contract as I had to keep it till June. I explained to them that June into July we would be away and I would not be able to return the instrument. They assured me that when I returned it in July, there would be no late charge. I got multiple emails saying that it was late so I emailed and got no response and then I called. it was late as I knew it would be as I explained in May as we were going on a Grief Retreat for for the loss of our son/kids baby brother!!!! Whenwe got back, we brought the instrument and they charged us a late fee when I was told on the phone there would not be one. the owner told me I was a liar!! He was rude And very entitled. We’ve been customers for over 30 years and he couldn’t refund $60 over something that has been explained months prior. I am so incredibly disappointed as this was a great place to rent instruments from however, I highly suggest you stay away because not only are they rude. They obviously do not care about their continued customers!! CALLING ME A LIAR when I had NO problem returning the instrument early, as she wasn’t playing it anymore. ...

I had bought a electric guitar, amp, cord, case, picks, and strap all today and took it home to find my mom displeased with my purchase and telling me to take it back or she’d take it back herself, so I decided to take it back on the ride home I called and they stated they’d give me store credit because there was signs saying they do store credit not refunds, I bought the gear not even and hour and half before coming back all with the tags still on it I’m just appalled at the fact they won’t give me my money back, and no one at checkout or the whole hour I was in the store told me even once that they don’t do refunds. Sound Beach Music is the best!

I have been bringing my guitars to SBM for set ups for years and always been completely satisfied.

Recently, I brought in two acoustic guitars for set ups. and they now sound and play perfectly because they were professionally set up by Sound Beach Music.

They dressed the frets, Lowered the action, Worked on the Bridge, Polished the Fretboard and added new Stings the guitar is better than ever and a pleasure to play. ( I can’t seem to put it down…really enjoying it ) Great Job!

Brian and his staff are helpful, friendly and you feel welcomed. The store is fully stocked with everything musicians need.
