Crazy Beans — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

This place is a joke. It’s really sad because I’ve had this place on my list of new restaurants to try out and i thought that a rainy Sunday afternoon would be a great opportunity. I was so excited to try out the “French Toast Special” listed on DoorDash, which supposedly includes cinnamon, fruits and vanilla icing. When i received my order however there was nothing “special” about the French toast. Instead, it was one single slice of plain french toast cut in 5 vertical sections. No toppings, no fruit, no icing, not even any butter or syrup. I truly believe they were lazy because they were closing 30 mins before i placed the order and just sent a kids French toast sticks. If they really were that lazy, then just charge me for the French toast sticks, which are listed at 6.95. I wouldn’t feel as robbed if that were the case. Honestly, saying this place is a joke is being way too nice. This place is a SCAM. I paid $19 for this French toast “ special” + home fries. Even if i didn’t add the home fries, the dish was still $14.95 on its own. I know that DoorDash prices are always inflated, but this is absolutely ridiculous. Ordering from the local diner would’ve been a huge upgrade from this meal. DoorDash refunded me $5.37 but I’m still unsatisfied. I lost the photo because i took it while in the complaint section of DoorDash and i guess it...

The food was good, coffee just ok,not hot at all.The front counter service was horrible. No one had any sense of urgency. Took 6 minutes to get 3 cups of regular coffee to go because we were waiting for a table to open up. I ordered one decaffeinated and never got that. Server was good,she asked me how would i like my eggs? I answered that I ordered an omelet. That was just funny to us,made us laugh but our server got it all right without writing it down. She was good. The one thing that really annoyed me was that I couldnt tip on my card. I dont want to hear about your tips,I over tip,but no credit card based tips? I feel thats taking advantage of your customer base. If I didn't have cash on me our server would have got nothing and she deserved a good tip.Place was clean,food was decent,decore was nice. Four stars because I think people should go and judge for themselves,but really would have only given it 2, I didn't want to trash you with stars. Best of luck...

Bad service and the food is no longer what it was. I loved this place, the food was good till recently. We were there a month ago and we ordered a side of bacon and home fries or potatoes and to our surprise they both were oily and almost burnt. You can tell that they are not changing the frying oil. We informed them and they apologized and we said it’s a one off. Today, we get there and we asked to be seated in a boot, the table needed cleaning so one of the waiters or a hostess not sure sounded bothered by our ask she goes to the table and hardly wipes it with crumbs and food still on the table they seated us!! We asked again for the table to be wiped, this time she shows up while we are seated she cleans the dirt off the table by dropping it on us and still leaves half of the table with apparent food crumbs again! Asked my husband and daughter to stand up and leave!! If the table is this dirty what is the kitchen looking like?? Sad because we loved coming here...
