Rubino Pizza Restaurant & Caterers — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

I almost feel bad for the other pizza places I pass by to get to Rubino's. Glad they are nearby. I kid you not, I got family, and after eating Rubino's at my house, liked it so much they have driven to Rubino's from their house... 15+ miles away a few times. I don't want to cause them a riot, but they do a very limited number of Thanksgiving meals for take home in catering trays (party style). We got on board with that this past Thanksgiving after hearing some guy ask "hey you guys doing that thanksgiving thing again?" while we were getting a pie. Best food move ever! We didnt make a mess cooking in our house. Put all the trays in oven for like 30min / 350. Like home cooked but everyone got to sit down and enjoy. Plates and bowls used to transfer food to table in dishwasher and done. My wife just enjoyed cooking her homemade pies the day before and didn't knock herself out with the main meal thanksgiving day. Everything from turkey, stuffing, veggies etc. All Rubino's effort. Well worth it. Seemed like odd idea at first. Now we'd rather not do any other way. Lol we are there so much anyway, it's not like "family" didn't...

Ok let me start by saying the food is good .. Unfortunately I was there on 7/3/17 and I was talking to the guy that cooks up front and asked him for a white pie and a freshly made chicken roll.. The kind of gave me a little bit of and attitude they said the have it in the refrigerator.. I told them I don't want a two day old chicken roll.. They seemed a little upset about that so I said ok just make me the pie he said ok.. Then the girl up front rang me up and I said now my son that wanted the chicken roll I would have to get McDonald's and she got really nasty... Ok with that I got a refund and was on my way... Ok Rubinos first of all why did she get nasty with me me second why did she have anything to say to me at all.. The customer always have the final word !!!!!! Now my final note is there have been 4 pizza places there in the last five years or so and there are four or five others in a one mile radius.. Good...

This was the 1st time i ordered from Rubinos and have lived in sound beach for a year already. I dont normaly trust italian resteraunts ive never eaten at before with my italian food, (my italian grandmother would dissaprove) . But this night i decided to give it a try, having been dissapointed by so many othet places over the past 6 years ive lived on the island Rubinos finally hit my marks. Im a very pickey eater, and this dinner was absolutley top noch with zero complaints. I got baked ziti which should be hard to screw up right? But every other place the sauce was watered down and there was half melted cheese and just not have luck with other places. Rubinos is my new spot after living out on the island for 6 years! Even 3 days later im eating leftovers like they just came out...
