I recently had a very disappointing experience at Victoria Secret in Smithhaven Mall. Last week, I bought three pairs of sweatpants, each costing $60. The first time I wore and washed the golden oak colored pair, they came out damaged and stained. One of the three sales associates I spoke with also confirmed that the sweatpants were poorly made. I attempted to exchange them for another color. Initially, they seemed willing to help but then asked for additional payment, despite the pants being on sale at 40% off, which should have entitled me to a refund or at least an even exchange. After some back-and-forth, where I was told I was being done a favor, I requested the manager. The manager then unjustly accused me of damaging the pants with bleach. When I disputed her claim, she refused to provide her supervisor's details and told me to return the following week. Security was called, but I stayed to contact customer relations, who initially were unhelpful. When I attempted to share my concerns with this rep, she responded as though I was a bother. It seemed she had no interest in hearing me out. Subsequently, she placed me on hold to contact the manager at the Smithhaven location, as she was based in Ohio. Meanwhile, I discovered several negative reviews for the sweatpants on the Victoria secret website, including a report with a similar issue. Despite sharing this, they refused to acknowledge the problem and eventually had security escort me out. I contacted customer relations again and spoke with a more helpful representative who filed a complaint on my behalf. As an apology, they are sending me a new pair of sweatpants. The store staff, especially the manager on duty on Monday, March 11 at 1 PM, showed poor customer service and accountability. Customer relations conceded that this particular store tends to be difficult regarding returns and product issues. They noted that the approach taken would be...
Read moreBeyond disrespectful employees on the phone, I call asking if my order can be held for an extra day and the worker asks me to call back in 5 minutes, ok no problem. I call back and another young lady picks up the phone and puts me on hold to speak with the person I originally spoke to. This person proceeds to pick up the phone and says âyouâre going to have to wait two minutes because I have to go and checkâ I respond to her informing her that I have been waiting and that I was asked to call back and that all I want to know if my order can be held. Her response was âwell if there is nothing in the back and we are not finding anything there is nothing to holdâ. I call back and ask for a manager and then the same lady wants to offer to help me, now that I am asking for a manager she wants to help me. Beyond disrespectful, the manager barely addressed it too, not a single apologetic word, all she said was that sheâll speak to her and defended that they are short staffed. I completely understand thatâŚwhich is why I waited and called back the first time I was asked to, being short staffed doesnât mean you need to be rude, dismissive, and disrespectful. Take your...
Read moreWent yesterday and every person I spoke with was insufferable. Got told I couldnât go in the changing room with my gf (im a girl as well) because of âpolicyâ when Iâve never been told that before after coming for years. They were trying on SWEATERS, but I was made to wait outside. Did she think we were going to pull something in there? Disrespectful regardless and have NEVER had this issue shopping anywhere else. âPolicyâ, the side look she gave me was strong too. They were SWEATERS.
The girl at the register didnât give us a receipt. Roughly 30 minutes later we decided to return two of the sweaters we purchased. The new cashier told us multiple times we âcanât return anything without a receiptâ. It got to the point where I genuinely believed she couldnât understand me because it wasnât my fault. Once again âpolicyâ was quoted as the reason. Had her call over a manager who thankfully helped me out. The staff need to have a conversation on whatâs actually policy and whatâs them being...
