This was our first visit to the mall since quarantine & our first visit to the Lego store. We waited in line for a bit; there were maybe a dozen people in line ahead of us, and it moved quickly. The staff were all wearing masks and hand sanitizer was prominently displayed at the entrance, next to the staff person monitoring the number of people in the store at one time.
I expected the store to be larger in size, but they definitely use all their space wisely.
At the front of the store was a small display for Pick & Build pieces by the cup (small and large) as well as a series of MiniFigures, three for $9.99.
I was pleasantly surprised to see Lego in all price ranges, from $4.99-$799.99! There are also sections for each age/interest, from Duplo sets, and Lego Friends, to adult sets, Super Mario, Star Wars, and Minecraft.
Julie was so kind! She listened to my kids as they babbled on & on about both Star Wars and Minecraft. She also helped me sign up for the Lego VIP rewards program and earn double points during the month of October (as they...
Read moreI've been fortunate to have had the opportunity of visiting many different Lego stores around the world. They may all have the same products with a similar store layout & aesthetic, but I can unequivocally say not all Lego stores are the same! What ultimately makes the difference are the people. This was my first time ever at the Walden Galleria location and the staff here were amazing! Not only were they very knowledgeable about Lego but they go above and beyond to help the customer. They foster a genuine sense of community that makes you feel welcomed the minute you walk in. It takes a special kind of place to make you feel like a friend instead of just a "customer". My family and I have been fans of Lego for many years and will continue to be very loyal for years to come and that is in no short part because of Lego employees like the staff at...
Read moreOverall the layout of the store was nice and accessible with my wheelchair, and the staff was friendly but they are severely lacking in education for service dog etiquette. My entire experience included staff cooing at and talking to my dog, distracting him, and encouraging conversation with other customers about my dog right in front of me. He is trained well enough to ignore distractions but it was made to be much more of a difficult environment for him to work in than it should have been. They did ask if I needed anything but out of all the interaction they initiated, all but one was about my dog as he was just trying to do his job assisting me with my disabilities. It was completely inappropriate and made me very uncomfortable so I left much sooner than I...
