Starbuck Island Luxury Apartment Community — Local services in Town of Colonie

I believe I was the 3rd or 4th person to sign a lease. Building 15 was almost complete but did not yet have a CO. Having searched the entire Capitol District for 6 years, I was taking a risk but the reward going on 3 years has been worth it. I love living on Starbuck Island. Bldg. 20 was but a shell, Bldgs. 20, 30, 10 were still on paper! I watched as construction crews gathered at 6 am each morning and break into individual groups noted by different colored t shirts or construction helmets. I assumed the colors denoted their specific area of expertise, e.g., plumbing, electrical..? Observed high up on my floor in Bldg 15 it was almost like a staged ballet - it was so carefully orchestrated. Today I count myself as so lucky to have made the decision 3 years ago to move to Starbuck Island. it is now gorgeous and includes services, shops, businesses, restaurants. Resort living at its best. Detail Details management, maintenance, grounds keeping, amenities are all outstanding, and the river views are spectacular. My building is well maintained and has provided me with terrific neighbors who have also become new friends. The Luizzi companies have and continue to do an outstanding job on providing luxury living in the Capitol District. Thanks. I wanted to downsize now that my children are grown. I had reservations about living in an apartment after 38 years of owning my own home. My concerns were soon laid to rest after I settled in at Starabuck Island. It is very quiet, I do not hear my neighbors (I have people living above and below me). The maintainence crew are very efficient and respond quickly to a request for service. The property landscaping is well laid out and meticulously maintained. The walking paths are very nice to stroll along, and the views are stunning. The layout of my apartment has good flow, and the rooms are comfortable sizes. Having laundry appliances in my apartment is wonderfully convenient. I am very happy at Starbuck Island. There are more amenities that I have not mentioned, but they make life here enjoyable,...

I've been living here since the beginning of the year. Best place I've ever lived. High quality apartments, very responsive and friendly management, excellent amenities, great view and walking distance to downtown Troy.

Update: Unfortunately, I have to downgrade this review. After 5 1/2 happy years at Starbuck, the feeling is tainted by the excessive charges against my security deposit on move out. Being charged $1100 for wear and tear of carpet and drapes has caused me to leave Starbuck with a bitter taste. I don't blame the staff, who have always been awesome.
