Blue & Cream — Local services in Town of East Hampton

The store itself is a cool concept, nothing unique just another Hamptons semi-luxury hype beast shop but not inherently BAD. However I can’t say the same about the owner, I’ve lived here for a little over a year now and was told to avoid this shop for a few different reasons and just never ended up going in, until today. I was looking for another business and asked a man standing outside near where I was supposed to be if he knew where it was because I had never been and he just gave me a very dismissive “they’re closed”, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt that he had a phone in his hand and it might’ve been important so I was just an interruption but it felt a little more condescending and snappy than just that. Whatever, I called the business and turns out they were open… strange right? Turns out the guy that told me this business was closed is the owner of blue and cream. So I was just wondering what this store was all about that would give someone an externally apparent inflated sense of self, so I walked in. I looked around, saw 2 or 3 cool pairs of sneakers nothing super impressive. And then in the middle of me talking to a sales associate (she was actually pretty kind) he said something along the lines of “Yeaaa this is the kind of store you never want to leave right?” which made me chuckle and kinda just reaffirmed the feeling I was left with after our initial reaction. So I said “Have a great day” and left. Outside of today, outside of the business, who knows maybe he’s a good guy. But as a business owner in such a small town the way you treat and speak to people matters. It left a really bad taste...

Zero stars, hateful rude owner. Do not shop here. Made a young girl cry did not care, their bogus 7 day return policy, which is obviously no more than a money grab, is just absolutely pitiful. Claimed dress bought less than 2 weeks ago is now out of style out of season and could not be returned or exchanged. Accused of stealing after bringing this thought to his attention, followed me out to my car recorded me threatening the whole time. What a sad sad person. Clearly not the only person who's experienced this as evidenced by the many one star reviews. Updating this review to add that we are heavily considering a police report, this business is Shady and should be avoided at all cost.

Please see the way this person speaks to people who try to shop at his store. I wouldn't be surprised if the 5 stars were illegitimate as he claims all the 1 stars are...

The employees in this store are rude and disrespectful. They treat you differently based on your appearance. You can’t judge a book by its cover. On 2 different occasions upon walking in the store my family members were treated like dirt. Both my mother and my son had the same experience at different times. Both of them can afford to buy anything they want yet they were dismissed by the staff because they chose to dress for comfort. I am appalled by the staffs attitudes. Who do they think they are? Minimum wage retail folk perhaps?!?! If they are hating life they should not work in an industry where they must be cheerful and helpful to all their customers.
