I started at OTF Tuckahoe w/ Carly signing me up. Walking through the door Carly is always bright, cheery and greets me by my name (when the employees make it a point to know my name the uncomfortable feeling I had goes away) Management (Colleen, Aubrey) will go the extra mile and engage customers in a friendly and relaxed way. Within the first couple of weeks I had questions about the app/ notifications not working properly, those concerns were immediately addressed by Aubrey. Colleen is the manager/head coach and if you take her class in the morning she will surely wake you up. Check all the boxes, Amani is a great coach! This is not just a job but a lifestyle for Amani, he truly loves what he does. He is also a great DJ by playing the right music, which is a great motivator during my workout. When I first started, I tried to stay in the shadows with coach Kristy. That wasn't happening, she reached out and introduced herself. Since then, we had a chat about my diet and I’ve made changes. I know my diet is important but hearing it from Kristy pushed me to make changes. ENTHUSIASM!! That describes coach Tiffany. She is a firecracker! I’ve taken her 3G classes on Sundays and she has no problem correcting my form on the rower/floor exercises. One of the main reasons I joined OTF was because I needed that push when I am tired and feeling lazy. I’ve had a few classes with Other coaches like Breanna who has the same drive as all the coaches and I’m not disappointed. All the coaches will take time to chat with you before or after class about your concerns and go over your stats. The classes consist of Running, Rowing, and floor workout (varies every day). I hated the row machine because I sucked at it, but that has improved drastically, so has my running. I feel stronger, I’ve lost almost 20lbs and my cholesterol is down over 30mg/dl. Like anything, it all depends on what you put into it. Although I have good and bad days, when I attend class I “try” to keep up with or do better (running faster/ rowing faster/ using more weight) than the persons next to me. Read moreI've posted about Orangetheory before and want to give mega props to my Orangetheory home studio in Tuckahoe, NY. The trainers and classes always deliver as promised, and I love that they incorporate scientific methods and tools to keep us in motion and efficiently trained in a safe, effective manner that produces outstanding results. I love that all the studios follow a science based structure for all the classes and that the trainers are keenly attuned to the needs of all the members. The trainers and staff know us by name, and they welcome us with enthusiasm and genuine encouragement, which makes us want to do our best. I return to my home studio and cooperating studios again and again because they incorporate a rich combination of HIIT, Strength Training, Yoga, Pilates, and a myriad of crosstraining approaches to give me an exceptional workout experience. The trainers are top-notch and aim to motivate every member to give their best and to excel at every level and session. The staff is stellar, friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. Orangetheory welcomes members of all fitness levels, and so the "only hard-core members" claim is not entirely accurate as members are encouraged to pursue their own personal fitness goals. The studios are clean, well maintained, and spacious enough to accommodate us for every routine. With my unlimited membership, I can take classes at any studio while maintaining a majority of my classes at my home studio. Read moreI heard about OTF Tuckahoe through a friend, JoAnna(who works in OTF) and was able to sign me up very easily! They were able to help me schedule my first two classes, which were accommodated based on my work schedule (9-5 occasionally 6) because of that I was able to work out two different class times to get an idea with commute and time. The entire staff were friendly, helpful, and had great communication skills for me to be able to understand their OTF monitors. The coaches were amazing! My coaches were Tiffany and Alexandra. I love how they offer a set of workouts that would be easier for me to do to start and still get to burn the calories I want. They were very patient and made sure to check on everyone including myself if we were doing okay during our workout. After my classes the coaches would follow up with me to see if I enjoyed the workout and if I needed help with understanding the gym or workouts. They helped me understand my statistics and made me feel like I did amazing for my first two classes. I definitely will be going to this gym! Orange Theory is very much different from the other gyms because you have a personal coach with you during the entire workout along with 2/3 groups.
