First and last time here. I got two slices and an order of mozzarella sticks for my toddler. The pizza was good however the mozzarella sticks were still frozen cold inside… and when I told the workers they processed to put them in the microwave and give me this…… my son didn’t want it and I don’t blame him. $11 for mozzarella sticks and that’s the service they gave. Then the worker proceeded to tell me that’s what happens when you warm them up…. If I wanted cold microwave mozzarella sticks I would have bought them in the supermarket. I didn’t even bother to ask for a refund and just asked to be compensated in garlic knots. They gave me 5 piece of garlic knots…. I paid $28 for two slices of pizza and garlic knots.

When I'm traveling back to my hometown I always stop at Villagio's. Awesome New York pizza!! I highly recommend the white slices if you're into cheesy, which I very much am :P Quality ingredients and pride in their pies are what make this place stand out. In recent years the selection has just been getting better and better. The calzones are amazing also and probably will be the next thing I'll be showing off on here in a few months when I return to NY. Also if you're travelling by train it's a short walk up the street from Tuckahoe train station, head up main street crossing Columbus Ave. and it's just past Carvel ice cream which isn't a bad idea after you've had your white slice... if you have room that is :)

Just rating the Plain slice...only! Many positive reviews drew me in. Hard to recall what everybody was reviewing at the time but I figure that the basis of good pizza is always judged on the plain slice. Unfortunately, although the size of the slice and the overall construction is good, the slice suffers from in inundation of garlic. Overpowering. I remember reviewing Pizza Fenice, and stating that it was lacking of salt and garlic. You just need a little hint of either. John, the owner told me that yes, indeed he leaves off the garlic because it can overpower the pizza. In this case, it speaks volumes. Was looking forward to a great slice. Too bad it didn't measure up, IMHO.

I wanted to like this pizzeria unfortunately I had a horrible experience and even worse pizza. First, it took an hour and a half to get my delivery. When I placed my order they said 30 minutes. I called at an hour and was told it should be to me any minute I called again at an hour and a half and although they were apologetic that didn’t help that at this point I knew my pizza was going to be ice cold. A couple minutes later the delivery guy came. Although he was very nice and told me that he got pulled over and it still didn’t justify an hour and a half for delivery. I opened up my pizza and it was cold, obviously I was not shocked. Still hoping the pizza would be good because at this point I am starving I take a bite out of it and the chicken tastes like rubber. It was worse than fast food chicken. Now I had to remove every piece of chicken because it was grossing me out. I think it goes without saying, I will never order...

This pizzeria used to be my go-to spot, a staple of my childhood. It’s been under the same ownership for years, and I have countless memories of enjoying their food. But on a recent visit, I was sorely disappointed.

I ordered an Italian Combo hero, but what I received was a lackluster sandwich. The bread was somewhat fresh but not ideal, and the meager amount of meat made the whole thing feel sad and flimsy. For $16.95, I expected so much more – paying that for such a subpar sandwich felt insulting.

If you're thinking about grabbing a sandwich here, think again. There are plenty of other places in town where you can get a tastier and more substantial sandwich for a better price. Even the Subway across the street could whip up a better combo for half the cost.

It’s a shame, I used to enjoy these sandwiches all the time with my dad. Whatever's changed, I hope they can turn things...

This review is for delivery. The food was excellent, however I think it’s important for others to know our experience so you can mitigate it. We ordered to our hotel down the street in advance so we wouldn’t need to worry about it later and placed an order for 6:30pm. Shortly after 4:30pm, we got a call that our delivery person was in the lobby of the hotel — 2 hours early. He was very kind and offered to take it back for us and re-deliver later. But, I wanted folks to know that you may need to call and emphasize your later delivery time preference versus placing that time preference on their online ordering site. It looks like that may be ignored. Other tiny small things you could confirm on the phone: our drink order was incorrect and the garlic knots did not come with any sauce. But, the food was tasty and if you are patient/flexible, it’s a good place...
