First time visiting ODO in the village of Tuckahoe. It was a pleasant surprise. Friendly staff and wonderful food.
For starters we enjoyed the Coppa “Prosciutto” and Bocconcini “Mozzarella” both of which are made in house. The Coppa was thinly sliced, delicate and very tasteful. First bite into the Bocconcini and you knew it was freshly made. Making fresh mozzarella is a time-consuming art and ODO takes the time to do it right.
Main course Lumache Tres Carne “Bolognese” – Lumache is a snail shell type of pasta. We were told the dish consists of beef, pork, and lamb. All of which blended nicely and created a unique taste. The lumache was cooked perfectly and paired well with the sauce.
Chitarra “Cacio e Pepe” – Citarra is a square type of spaghetti. This dish of spaghetti with cheese and pepper seems simple to prepare. However, to get the right balance of ingredients and flavors takes skill. ODO’s Cacio e Pepe is a delight, starting with the homemade pasta, which was cooked perfectly, to the delightful taste of cheese and pepper.
House special pork cutlet topped with eggplant and fresh mozzarella. The eggplant was roasted and tasted similar to a Baba-ghanoush. The flavors came together nicely.
You can taste the time and care that ODO’s Chef puts into the dishes he prepares. The entries are reasonably priced and portions are generous.
Although we passed on dessert, I’m sure they are wonderful.

While the ideas are cute and the descriptions sound amazing the food was so severely under seasoned to the point of confusion. I asked my date if I was going crazy and she also agreed. We thought maybe we should try other things and everything from the bread and sauce to the cod and pistachio pesto was so lackluster and just not good! I started to feel nauseous through the meal. I even mentioned to our waitress that the food was so under seasoned and she seemed unfazed and didn’t offer to remedy the situation. I asked for salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, etc and still nothing got better. After our comment on the food being under seasoned it seemed as if the staff didn’t really want much to do with us and only came by to drop off the check and didn’t ask us anything or why we only took a few bites and were leaving mostly everything and not packing anything to go. We spent over 200 including tax and 20% tip just for us to have to go get Mexican food after which was way better and a 4th of the price!
Please note I frequent restaurants often and usually send something back if it isn’t good but the vibe here didn’t feel...
Read moreOdo is simply not just the best restaurant that my wife and I have been to in years in Westchester, it happens to be the best new restaurant that we have been to anywhere in the United States as far as we can remember back in our lives - we are beyond lucky to live nearby!
Every single person on the staff (too many to name) all the way up to Maria (Manager) and Nick (Chef/Owner) are the best at what they do.
The food, the service, the music, and the overall vibes are simply unparalleled. I would recommend this place to anyone without question - we have been there approximately 10 times since they opened 2ish months ago. A few final things to note:
Don’t discount ordering the baked eggplant dish (it’s absurdly good and a hidden gem on the amazing menu)
Order the Scarpetta no matter what
And lastly, to the idiot who went out of the way to sign on and write this place a 1 star review because they had a phone wait mishap in the very opening days of the restaurant - shame on you, that is absolutely pathetic to do to any business, especially one as professional and on point as the team at Odo
Looking forward to our next meal at...
