I recently went to Mens Wearhouse on West Ridge Rd in Rochester NY on Sunday June 23rd at around 2pm. I have been mulling over sending this review, but I think you ought to know my experience. I got this email address off of the google reviews, and I would rather email your company directly, rather than publicly shame on Google.
I am getting married in September and was looking to set up my suit rentals. As soon as my fiance and I walked through the door and told the employee we wanted to set up the rentals, he rolled his eyes. He seemed pretty mad at another employee (or could be manager) that took two breaks in the hour or so that we were there. The man taking care of us was not very hospitable... there were two chairs on his side of the desk, but didn't offer the second one to us, leaving my fiance standing. He even told me I wasn't being courteous and I should have offered my fiance my seat, when he had a spare on his side. The store itself was a bit cluttered, with several cardboard boxes sitting out. It did not feel clean and luxurious. The process itself took over an hour, when we already pretty much knew what we wanted. He wrote the entire order down on a paper form, and then transferred it into an iPad. This seemed super redundant, and the last 25 minutes of us being there was just us watching him enter it into the iPad. He kept getting error codes on the iPad, so that didn't make us feel great, in case he was entering incorrect information. Throughout the whole experience, the man's demeanor was not friendly. He seemed annoyed to be there, and with us.
We were there a bit more than an hour, but it felt way longer. The customer service was not warm and welcoming. I was excited to set up my suits for my wedding day, but I left annoyed and said I was glad it was over. I have been to this location before for fittings and rentals for other weddings, and have also bought a suit coat for here myself. He understood the importance of finding the perfect attire for my wedding day, and his expertise guided me through various options and styles. Read moreI usually don't post reviews but my experience with this place is so bad I feel the need to warn others. I've been here several times and nothing is ever ready when they say it is. It's a waste of my time when I'm told something is ready and to pick it up only to find out it's not (3 times in a row). No one ever seems to know what's going on and the worst part of it all is they act as if you are inconveniencing them. Either the staff is set up for failure or they need new staff. Now I need to go back for a 4th time and hope it's ready when they say it is.
I would also add that while I was waiting in line to pick up nothing for the 3rd time one staff member was on the phone talking to a customer as if they were clueless and literally repeated herself 5 times in a rude tone. Then another staff member who was waiting on a mother and her son was told that his suit would be ready yesterday and it wasn't. Then was told to come back and it would be done in the morning. It wasn't. Then they were told to come back in 40 minutes... I felt bad for them because there occasion is today. The BIGGEST problem wasn't that the suits are never ready but that the staff only made excuses and we're upset that the customers were unhappy. Wouldn't...
