We like Ollieâs stores and have been shopping in them for years. We do not like the attitude and unprofessional ways of a particular cashier and disinterested manager at this location. We entered the store about a half hour before closing and were harassed the entire time we were there. The cashier announced that the store would be closing in so many minutes at least once every five minutes. The cashier was concerned about picking up her food as she was hungry and made sure we knew it. Extremely rude. We left the store well before closing and watched as the cashier walked out of the store within two minutes of closing time. We came to this same location another night and having close to three hundred dollars worth of items, decided to get another cart so when the cashier checked us out, she could put the items in the empty cart. This same cashier as before, yelled at my son accusingly as he was walking out of the store. This startled him and he had no idea why he was being yelled at by her. I had asked him to go outside to get the empty cart as there wasnât any in the store. I was standing by the incoming door waiting to help him in with the cart. I didnât want to leave our cart unattended because my purse was buried in the bottom of it with my phone and wallet. She was very clearly accusing us of trying to steal. While I understand, watching for shoplifters, it was insulting and embarrassing to be accused of being a potential shoplifter. Other shoppers were looking to see what was going on. I have worked for 45 years working with the public and have never been so rude and insulting to any of my customers. While the manager who was watching the whole display of loud accusations, seemed unconcerned, he did the absolute least possible by have the other cashier in the store come up to check us out. He was of no use as far as controlling the situation and having a customer leave even a little satisfied with the outcome of the situation. I usually spend around two hundred dollars at this store when given the time to shop, but I will not be back to this location as I donât need to be insulted by...
Read moreI would not shop there ever again. I want to buy an air conditioner charged $186.58. I was not allowed to leave with the product because âthe receipt did not print so it could not have gone throughâ. Well about a week later and my bank account is saying that was a lie. No one has called me back after I very calmly called and spoke to the manager. So I am going to escalate this myself. Filed a claim with corporate, BBB, attorney generals office, and small claims by next week if itâs not handled. Oh and BTW their level of professionalism is unreal, the cashier was cussing and visually frustrated blaming the computer for freezing. The shift manager was even worse! She was more upset the cashier created more paperwork from all of her voids. The store manager spoke to me on Wednesday when I called to confirm if went through and she was quick to get me off the phone claiming she will call corporate. And honestly the only semi nice person I have spoken too thus far. Then when I called tonight Friday for her got another shift manager who wouldnât even right my name and number down. I get it, itâs Ollieâs gotta keep the standards low. But I obviously shopped there because I was (am) broke and needed a...
Read moreI went in to buy a rug and found what I wanted pretty quick. Upon finding the rug I wanted I went to the front of the store and asked an associate to call someone to assist me with getting it out and to the front, she said ok she told me she would call someone. I walked back to the rug area and waited. After several minutes, I found a doorbell inside for customer assistance, so I rung it and waited, and I waited, then I rung it a second time. After about 10-15 minutes of total waiting time, I found a cart that looked like it was for transporting the rugs and struggled a little bit but got it myself. As someone who works is customer service, I am very understanding. But what was frustrating was when I rolled the rug to the front of the store to check out. There were 2 store associates just standing near the front having a regular conversation and another store associate organizing books, there was 1 person in line and no one else close to the front of the store customer wise. So the fact that 3 pages were ignored when the store wasn't busy at all is kinda ridiculous to me. Other than that, I feel like I paid a decent price for the rug and had an ok check...
